  1. Congrats, Great choice, I love mine best decision I have ever made. As a matter of interest why did you go with XT and not SRAM? Personal choice?
  2. Congrats, very nice.
  3. I have just moved from Kenda Excavators to Maxxis Crossmarks LUST. Yes they are a faster running tyre and handle dry conditions superbly. The Excavators are a better tyre by far in wet and muddy conditions, having said this I do not believe that the Maxxis tyre is meant to be a wet/muddy condition tyre.
  4. Well done guys. Wow, nice to see a bike shop get so involved. Two thumbs up from me.
  5. Hey Mackie, like the GT brand, but for my part would have to say: Morewood Zulu
  6. Sorry shock and rear triangle sold.
  7. Bryce Munro is super talented, I can't believe that he has been riding without a sponsor for most of the year.
  8. Thanks for all the comments. Time to move on, save a little and buy the Morewood Zula I have decided to sell the frame, perhaps someone is keen on the shock or rear triangle.
  9. Thanks Tumbleweed (HR). Mojoman the frame is 2008, third owner.
  10. My first ride on my new bike after returning back from knee surgery. I thought it was going to be an easy 25KM ride so that I can get back into things. Long story short, during the ride I noticed that the crank arm was wobbling slightly. I stopped, checked the crank, all seemed fine.During the last few kays it got progressively worse. Took the bike to my LBS only to be told that the frame had been cracked at the point where the BB and crank are inserted. Can this be reliably repaired?
  11. Done, quick and easy. Lets hope they listen.
  12. Two words - boring and predictable (Ok so technically that’s three) MBUK Mountain Bike UK is the bench mark though as far as mountain bike mags go. The down side for us saffers is the price since it has to be imported. Surely we can produce the equivalent or better mag here ...... perhaps Tread is getting there...
  13. I had Microsfracture surgery about 12 weeks ago, so it is no way the same, I do however have some suggestions. 1. Do your homework over and over again, especially when it comes to choosing the right Doctor. 2. Get a second opinion. 3. Make sure he is reputable and specializes in knees. 4. Make sure you find out about post op recovery before hand 5.Go to physio and Bio and make sure you do the exersizes. 6.Make follow up appointments with the Doc to check your progress. 7. Be patient 8. Listen to your body I can't emphasize these enough, I had surgery about 12 weeks ago, it's been one royal cock up after the next. I am now going for my third opinion.......post op. Good Luck
  14. There are no sustainable quick fixes. There is no substitute for hard work, so train hard and eat properly and the results will come. Creatine may work for track sprinters but I doubt its effectiveness for long rides.
  15. Thanks for all the responses. I have a set of white ZTR Flows on back order since the 16th of last month. I heard that they may have a set of Crests available, will hear tomorrow.
  16. Did you ever buy these? If so whats your opinion of the rim?
  17. I am recovering from a Knee op. I wanted to record Super Cycling, Miway MTB, Multi sport events etc.. onto DVD so that I can watch it while doing physio in another room. (Physio takes about 30 to 60 Minutes) No I am not trying to rob Multichoice of its millions in profit and sell content or put it on You Tube etc.... Just enjoy my fav programs at home in my own time. I already pay a high subscription and have no intention of buying a PVR. Perhaps the question that needs to be asked is why Multichoice made the change without notifying its user base!!!
  18. Hey Mark, Not sure, I have only tried from my HDD recorder to DVD. It comes up with "copy protected content" Go Figure!
  19. Yip, Like they don't make enough out of us already.
  20. Not sure if anyone else has noticed that Multi Choice has decided to copy protect its content. This means that you can no longer copy your programs from your recorder to DVD. I have tried to copy both SuperCycling and the MiWay MTB series without any success. I replaced my faulty DSTV decoder about 3 months ago so I figured that it may be related to that, however after some research I came across this article: http://outthink.co.za/index.php/2010/08/goodbye-multichoice-and-dstv/ So a unlilateral decision was made by Multichoice to copy protect programming without notifying their subscriber base. Perhaps a clever ploy to get us to buy PVR's?
  21. Been trying to get hold of them since 9:30, no answer. Do they operate on saturdays?
  22. Hi HeartCoppi, For mine they had to do an arthroscopy, not so sure about the Xray.
  23. Thanks Riaanb, You are a ray of hope, you are only the second person who has given me some glimmer of hope. Nice to kneow that someone has made it through to the other side and can still ride competitevly. Thanks for the advice, I really appreciate it. It's good to know that you have recovered so well. One question though, I am a multisporter, Have you been able to run again?
  24. So four looong weeks have passed. Still on crutches, and will be be for another two weeks. Managed to dammage the other knee, due to compensating and over use. Been for second opinion on surgery, jury still out if surgery was best decision. Started physio today Einaaa!!!!, (at least 3 weeks) Started driving again ( I look like a learner driver with no clutch control) Lessons learnt 1. Do your homework thoroughly, (Google is your friend) 2. Try Physio first, make sure they are experienced in sports injuries 3. Go to a Doctor/Specialist who specializes in sports injuries and is an athlete. 4. Support from family and friends will be crucial, even if you don't like you are going to have to lean on them from time to time. 5. There will be good days and bad days, keep looking at the prize. 6. Disabled parking rules (No just joking, never used it) 7. Ask questions all the time, even if they seem dumb. 8. Go for a second opinion, its your right..
  25. Thanks for the offer Werner, decided to take the pluge and buy the Flows. That Ibis looks awesome, must ride like a demon!!!
