  1. But that are a HT. A very fast HT!
  2. The ad in the book reads: ZERO MAINTENANCE* *The drive train on a Duster Eight requires nothing more than to be kept clean and lubricated
  3. It is hard to make TRACK PLEASE sound like TRACK PLEASE?! when you are out of breath.
  4. If that is what rocks your boat - go for it! You make me feel so special boet. I should get you something for your birthday.
  5. Just on sealed cartridge bearings: You can service them in case of emergency. It is possible to lift the seal on the bearing, degrease then regrease and if you did not destroy/bend the seal, you can put it back and keep going. I do this as needed to prolong the life of the bearing.
  6. They don't listen anyway so it matters not.
  7. So I just spend an hour in the garage race prepping a HT. I removed, cleaned, inspected and regreased the: 1. Headset 2. BB (XT) 3. Rear wheel hub axle and cassette. 4. Jockey wheels I also lightly oiled the stanchions, front and rear der and the pedals. EDIT: And cleaned the rear der cable and very, very lightly oiled the cable. Add to that about 30min to wash it.
  8. I remember when I went to see the doc just before my knee op, he had a good look at my left knee: "We will have to operate." he said. "Uhm, no doc, it is my right knee that is the problem." said I. To the OP: I know it sounds funny but give it a day or to before you go see a doc UNLESS it really hurts like a SOB and keeps you awake at night. And try an stay off da feet.
  9. YOU NEED TO FIX THIS FAST!
  10. En jy het darem eenkeer self jou frame oorgebou met relatiewe sukses.
  11. In fact, racing is like beng on the Hub: Grow a thick skin and don't care what people think of you, ne? Opinions are like trolls - everbody has one.
  12. Well that cleared things up: Being nice does not work. Being nasty does not work either. The slower oke in front is just as big a prick as the faster guy behind him. To those that don't mind getting out of the way - Thanks. To those that do mind - oh well...
  13. Just one small correction - her surname is De Witt... But anyway, my wife did some of her courses. benita knows her stuff. The idea here is to find out what muscles need strengthening etc. She has these Bunkie tests that you have to do - oh my goodness. That diagnoses problem areas very easily and helps you getting the right treatment. After my wife did the courses I was her guinea pig. It helped a lot. My ITB, hammie, performis and quad strength was determined and I was told what areas to stretch and what NOT to touch. As far as not stretching ITB etc. The ITB might just be painful because you have another muscle problem somewhere. By stretching it you might just make it weaker.
  14. I married a physio. It was cheaper!
  15. Muscle misallingment.
  16. What is with the attitude boet? So I come up behind a slower rider doing the shorter distance. Me: "Keep left when you can please.". No shouting. Just letting him know there is a faster oke behind him that would like to get past. So the tjop lets rip with: "How the F%$K am I supposed to keep left???" Hey, dumbass, I asked nicely! From now on, just keep the heck left!
  17. The only race that I know of that will get delayed either because of "los leeus" or los krokkedille"
  18. According to the LAW that is the Hub - REAL MEN DON'T RIDE 30km EVENTS! Or so I have been told. But if I was you. I would "duke" it out with the the closest competitor and let him win the bike! It means more to him than to you!
  19. You are right. The are R1000 cheaper than others!
  20. Thanks forall the feedback guys. I are still on the prowl for a towbar. Willcontact your suggestions. PS: I have one quote for a towbar so far - R3100.
  21. Don't start now! 15+ pages of how insignificant Tunariaan and his results are. Ironic.
  22. I was looking at a roofrack but the roofrack is as expensive as a rear rack with towbar...Imight even go for a secondhand towbar IF I can find one. Scrapyard maybe...But time is limited...
  23. Thanks boet. I am still trying to get a quote for a towbar first. I thought it was as easy as picking up the phone...But I was wrong... I will be able to use the towbar in the future.
  24. Eerstens net weer sorry.
  25. Thanks for da feedback boet! It is time to go shopping. Again. I think the Thule Euroride is what I should shop for. PS: How on earth will I know if the towbar will handle 2 x 15kg bikes and a 15kg rack? What do you have?
