  1. O jy gaan bollie kry oor dit nie 'n twenty niner is nie. :-)
  2. Man, try getting a sport massage with hairy legs. Good LUCK!
  3. Ah man! Santa you dumba$$ - you delivered to the wrong address. Tsk
  4. Well, there you go. That is your answer. Mine is different. Who is right? Well, it is not for either of us to decide who interpreted what is said/implied correctly. We are both responsible for our actions. And as long as you accept that, then you are fine. I ride and race on a Sunday. But I do it with the Lord by my side. That beats sitting in church... feeling alone...lost...distracted...wondering why you feel this way... You asked if: "and then let you choose which ones to follow, and which ones to make up your own mind about?" Yes, I think so. Look around you my friend. If we followed all the rules all the time, there would really be no GOD!!! What would be the point of Him being there? What would he do??? Anyway, I hate talking about religion. I really do. We all want to be God's perfect little soldier. And in our eagerness to get there/become that, we trample on others, and miss the basic fundementals of being Christion. Love. Care. Listen. Help. Support. etc. It is more important to be right than to be Christian. And for that reason, I stopped going to church - but never stopped believing.
  5. No you won't boet. It doesn't work that way. Do you honstly think that the Lord Almighty cares if you ride/race your bike an a Sunday???
  6. No you won't.
  7. Does it matter to you?
  8. Well, you have plenty options. 1. Shorten your Saturday ride 2. Split the ride in 2 - one in the morning and one in the late afternoon. 3. Skip the ride and spend time with your kid. 4. Play with your girl first and then go ride later. Those all look like a priority issue to me... Anyway, Fitness comes over time - take it slow. What is the rush? Start small and work your way back. Be commited an don't stop. There, I gave you something the pro's use - a pep talk! C'mon, you can do iiiiiiiiit!
  9. If you want to know what the pro's take, well then you should not ask that kinda question in the Circus when the clowns are out in the ring! Thing is, it is not what the pro's take. it is more a question of their lifestyle that meks it look like they take something super. You can take the same thing as the pro's and it might not make any difference to your performance.
  10. Train a lot. Sleep. A LOT!
  11. Number 4. Value for money - you can not beat that!
  12. As long as we don't become friends mate - I would hate for that to happen...
  13. You know, I find the bit about the "apple" the most significant part in the Bible. Me thinks, the "apple" is different for all of us. Man, I don't even think it was an apple. To me that "apple" signified something else. Could be fame, fortune whatever. God said, stay here with me and forget the apple. The choice is YOURS. Man said "No way, I want the apple" So he took it. Then God said fine, do it your way. I am outa here. Then man felt sorry and God said fine. Let us set up some rules. Plenty of rules. Man said: "We can't do all of this. We want freedom from these rules." We want a choice. So God send Jesus to set us free - Right, you now have a choice: You are either with me or against me. The choice is YOURS! Just like in the beginning when the choice was YOURS. Have the apple, don't have the apple. The funny thing is that when the poop hits the fan, God gets blamed for our choices: Drunk guy crashes into a car and people die. Why didn't God prevent it? What, you don't want to be in charge anymore? Man gets cancer. Why did God not prevent it? Huh? Look at the way we live our lives. How we don't all get cancer is beyond me! We crap where we eat man!!! God gave you a choice. Just be thankful for that at least.
  14. One of two things will now happen: 1. You will misplace the finding device. Think about it: If you lose your keys what makes you so sure you won't lose this? 2. You find the finding device and then you: 2.1 can't remember what you were looking for. 2.2 you forgot what you called the missing item.
  15. Ok let me clear this up - I have a granny gear but I hardly use. Hardly is not never! You see, i'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it. I have yet to do a race where I felt I could use another gear. Or let me rephrase 3x9 gets me to the line. The reason I don't use my granny gear is I find that I can not get a gear ratio where I get great traction AND momentum at the same time. Yes, I can go 1x9 like Sir Dangle suggested BUT just using the big blade will bend my chain when I go to the biggest cog on the cassette. Or not?
  16. I have a Ti toolbox. And it sucks!
  17. Nice work Eldron... I ride a 26' with 3x9...or should I say a 2x9...I hardly ever use the granny gear. At one stage a did remove it and set the FD up so as not to drop down to were the granny gear was. But that is beside the point. I believe that every cyclist has his "favourite gear". Mine is mostly the big blade and somehwere in the middle of the cassette. That is where I spend most of my time. Even while seated and in the climbing position, people use different gears to get them to the top weather it is 2x10 or 3x9. So 2x10, 3x9, yxz...It does not matter I think. Eventually you will find a gear that works for you. Even if it is just one in front and one at the back. Yes, 2x10 is stupid..................if it is on a 26' bike and visa versa.
  18. I remember many times that I stopped to check the rear brake as I could swear it was rubbing against the rim and holding me back.
  19. Did anyone say powerbalance?
  20. All three skewers provide some play funny enough...even the 5mm diameter skewer. (Thanks for the free grammar lesson.) Scary to think the a 4mm Ti rod is what keeps the backwheel in place.
  21. So, I saw a little play on the bike's backwheel, an AM Classic. Looked closely and the KCNC skewer seemed to be the problem. It looked to thin for the axle. I took the origianal skewers that came WITH the wheel. They were the same diameter @ 4mm. I then took a DT Swiss skewer and low and behold it was 5mm. So now the questions: Why is there 2 diameters here? I first thought that maybe one is a road skewer and the other a MTB skewer but the skewers on the roadbike are also 5mm. And why are the skewers that came with the wheel also 4mm which also result on a bit of play on the backwheel? And do you get KCNC skewers that are different diameters?
  22. The time on it is wrong.
  23. To answer your question BA: It has to be. Fred is free pages already.
  24. Sheeeeeeet - I had to read that twice!
