  1. Let me ask you this - is your response the same for entering races online? But, that said, if this is the way you do things then who am I to stand in your way boet. *Mj steps back and lets the man pass*
  2. Then come visit!
  3. I am just going to go with DAMN. You think a bike jacker will give some terms and conditions or his credentials? Or how about an opt out thingy? "I opt-out of this bike jacking." Thanks.
  4. Dangle! Where is part 2 boet??? I just watched part 1! Now I am p'd off!!!
  5. Yes, but it also creates a smarter mtb'er, which will be less of a victim!
  6. And that is the problem. We underestimate the enemy. You post your bike on the hub for sale - BAM! The crooks find out what kind of bikes to look for. You post where you ride your expensive bike - BAM! The crooks now know where to hide! And so on!
  7. I am sure I would not want people riding through my backyard...And I think it could be a safety thing and it could also be that some idiots would litter as they ride through it.
  8. If you want more than make a donation...and there will be "more".
  9. This story was not intended for you boet!
  10. Take me for an example: I have joined the FB group and made a donation. Before last night I haven't even give this a second thought. Plus I did not even see the program - my wife told me about it via SKYPE. It scared the **** out of me thinking of all the times we went cycling and something bad could have happened. (It won't stop us from going out and doing what we love) But I don't ever want to be in the sitution were I could have done something but didn't!
  11. It was not meant to be investigative...more "informative" ie creating awarness! You want answers... People in SA did not even knew it was a problem.
  12. You see, you are involved in cycling so what you saw last night is commen knowledge to YOU... As of today bikejackings are not commen knowledge to the general public...yet. My non-cycling friends was stunned to find out there even exists such a thing as "bike jackings". So thanks to last night, the word is out!
  13. I think it did what it was meant to do: GET PEOPLE TALKING!!!
  14. This is BS dangle. I knew it was an issue...but it is time to fight back!
  15. Sucks that I could not watch it. My wife said it scared the **** out of her!!! So, what now? How do I get involved in stopping these a$$holes from hurting my sport??? Where the hell do I sign up???
  16. I must go check on the edge 500...I am sure it is a lot cheaper...
  17. They are lighter than my Jawbones. They work awsome when I was running with them. R400, 3 sets of lenses...****, that is hard to beat! And you don't get it back home... The lenses are: > Breakresistant > 100% UV-A-,-B-,-C-protection up to 400 nm > Frontside mirrored > Inside hardcoated > Infrared absorbtion
  18. Found a shop here that has the 705 vir about 279 Euro...Just wondered how much it is back home... Not sure how much the 500 was...I think it was 139 Euro.
  19. A new one? And for the Edge 500?
  20. Just bought a pair of Alpina shades for 40 Euro. It includes 3 sets of lenses. Clear, dark and orange!
  21. I will echo as many before me: Weight for a cyclist is not the only issue... Power to weight and endurance holds the key to success... I have one weight session per week where I spend about 60min just doing upper body strength and During December/January I spend so time doing weight training for my legs...But that is about it.
  22. All on it's own??? Damn!
  23. Horspot? I know they used too...
