  1. i can't believe they did that to a Cruz what a frikken waste!! no-one is gonna ride that thing, if they did they would deserve what they got!
  2. what would some suggestions be for v-brake upgrade?
  3. what's all the fuss here?
  4. ah, then you are in luck my friend! we have Kara Nichas: vegetarian Indian cuisine where you can pick up a half bunny for R4.50. Yes, R4.50. Rotti roll ask? R4.50. quality food for the non meat eating folk out! I'll keep it in mind, i am in PMB, so although i love my surfing, unless its really cooking, we won't forget. i reckon there are quite a few guys who might be interested. let me chat to some mates here. thanks!
  5. KZN? we'd do bunnies for lunch!
  6. SOCKS! long soccer ones work well!
  7. but its quite a bit of fun
  8. very, very nice. my favourite for sure. any links where we can see detailed specs and more pics?
  9. i dont think there is a major issue with keeping the bikes stored with hooks. i've been doing it for some time now, and my mate has 6 (yes 6) bikes. he stores them all that way. he's a bike nut so if it wasnt good for the bike, no way he'd do it. but i suppose if you left it like that for a long time with out taking it down and using them on regular intervals, it might cause issues with the oil. but its such a handy way of storing them...
  10. some pics and more details about where he rode and why he's selling would help. welcome to the hub!
  11. Frankenbike!! does it make coffee too?

    Stupid!!

eish! hope you come right with a lid. but, at least you got to go home!
  13. thats insane...dont get caught up in the whole "look" of cycling. its a rubbish element where every tom, dick and harry is competing to look the best. its why manufacturers can also drive thier prices sky high, cyclists are willing to be ripped off for the "perfect look". a bag is so helpful, especially if you out on your own and dont have a camel back (or dont want to wear one), for essential stuff, like a an extra shirt so you dont smell when you hit the coffee shop after the ride just ride, enjoy it and have fun!
  14. great, stoked you happy. as for cutting the fork, let a pro do it. Unless you got mad skills with the angle grinder, your lbs will sort it out one time. many happy miles!
  15. etone, it seems since you have the fork that only works with disk brakes then obviously you have to go with it. but i would look to get a decent setup even if you can do the front first. try find the right hubs if need be and go from there. thats what my LBS told me. good luck!
  16. something that i am learning as i cycle is that research and knowing exactly what you want is really important. if you rush into something you think you need, you will prob regret it later cos you'll find something better maybe cheaper. there are three factors to buying bikes: cheap, strong, light. but you can only have three of these!
  17. ah! classic mistake...sorry i say that cos i nearly made the same one. i really struggled to find a good fork, within a reasonable price, thats both disk and v brake compatible. Rochshox Tora 302. great fork!
  18. dude, that is strange cos there should be a serious difference. esp for what the 5's cost these days. sorry to hear that...but i'll take em off your hands if you not happy with them
  19. thanks for the pics. what hubs are they on? how old? and what's their history? thanks again. i take it your in CT?
  20. hagar, thats a pretty hectic upgrade. i hear the AJ 5's have serious stopping power. are the mechanical or hydr?
  21. thanks!
  22. dontspammechop@gmail.com thanks. as i say, i'm just looking around and trying to see if its worth the upgrade. thanks adogshow2009-08-07 06:58:32
