Absolutely agree with everything you mention - it was just an observation :thumbs: I suppose the EPL is suffering the side effects of its own success, in that the TV Networks are throwing so much money at the League and Clubs, that they have to find ways of spending it, to attract more money, to spend more, and so on...

This is the part of Italian football that I just don’t understand... They would rather exchange players, or sell relatively cheaply, (as long as or provided that) it’s within the league! This seems to happen in Spain and Germany as well... although to a lesser extent as far as I am aware. Now I know that, in the EPL at least, clubs are reluctant to let their best players go to clubs within the league, more so if it’s a “direct competitor”...

That’s the pain of being a football supporter... Better luck next time Ol’ Chap

Guys, okay... I hear all the murmuring about goalkeepers being on the bench, or waiting and being prepared to play when Number 1 gets injured and so forth... Now spare a thought for Sergio Romero, who gets ManU to the semifinal of the Europa League, and the coach selects De Gea for the game, who then conceded two... (Romero has kept more clean sheets than De Gea over the past two seasons)... Apparently, even Yeovil have turned downed the offer to sign De Gea, lol... (of course this is tongue-in-cheek)

I do too, I was so looking forward to seeing him integrate into the side... He has the talent. But I also think that Tottenham have an abundance of midfield options so a swap/sale for credible defensive players makes a whole lot of sense. I can understand Mourinho’s desire for central defenders who get stuck in, so I’m inclined to think he really wants to get Skriniar in.

As much as I don’t rate Joe Hart, Spurs need an experienced ‘keeper on the bench since Michel Vorm has left. The Ivan Perisic deal should have been done in the last transfer window, but alas... I think Tottenham are going to offload Ndombele and probably to get either Castagne or Skriniar
