  1. from standing in a shop the grease can dry and get dusty, so take it all out and clean it and re-lube it all.
  2. the bearings could be going or have gone, you need to take it all out and take out the bottom and top headset bearings and clean it all out and re-lube everything that was lubed then put all back together and there we go, if there is still a noise take it to your lbs and have them do a service on it and check for cracks as well.

  7. hmm... and is it only when you are either seated or standing? high or low gears?
  8. its like all distributors, they will ask you to take poto's of it, email it to them and write an essay on what exactly happened. they'll then say, 1) they never got an email from you. 2) the photo is too blurry or my personal favourite 3) your story doesnt make sense. As a bike shop we have to even do this crap, now you think working in the business they'd trust our word and send the rep out or send us a replacement. nope not a chance and thats world wide, even here in aus. Good luck with it tho azonic. will spk to our rep here and show him these photo's maybe who knows, i might be flying out with a new frame for you. will try, but good luck. sorry to hear of this bad news.
  9. eish classic case of bolt over tighteness.
  10. what was the old frame and whats the new frame? what skewers are you using? KCNC?
  11. Colud be your skewers on your wheels. which skewers are you using? could also be headset
  12. look for schwable ultremo R's at solomans. the had the ultremo's last i saw and they were cheap. they R's are really really good tyres. some of the best in my opinion.
  13. They often race down hendrik potgieter in a huge convoy of like minimum of 14 cars, all black with strobe lights, and they average 150km/h easily, now on the route from northcliff through to krugersdorp were they go there are at least 17 robots, none of which they slow down for at all, i have often had them using my lane (on coming traffic to them) through the intersection without any reduction in speed what so ever. they once did end up taking out someone and they all just carried on without stopping to swap any details. its actually beyond a joke to be honest. one day they will cause a huge 10 car pile up then i wanna see how they wriggle their way out of that one. As far as i see it, if they can do this, then why cant we? if they are above the law when the should be leading by example, no wonder why no one cares anymore.
  14. i have a life, look, i have a name and interests and even an email, for what i can say for you???? seems you prefer to hide behind your online name and thats it. plus who on here has actually met you? think if there is anyone they'd be too embarrased to admit it. so come on, share your real name with us?
  15. Bustthesickness, you are a real immature little man. you making a long list of enemies on here and when the time comes and you are on the receiving end of a bad incident, dont expect any favours.
  16. i must be consued, is that an agreement with what im saying or an add on or...?
  17. and a lot of money too. truing stands are by no means cheap.
  18. Saw this thread happening eventually. 94.7 was my last race in SA before I left. Four crashes in the elite bunch on the first highway, so in other words, in the first 8km's on a four lane highway!! four F&^%ing lanes, plenty of space but it still happens. It happened to be some of these development riders that caused it as well. Also however, SA elite racing is very stop start, attack the s$%t out of everyone for 30m and then jam on breaks. This i feel is really stupid and a real waste of time, but which can only be resolved by the reaction of the main bunch, dont chase him down 3km into a race, he has 90 odd km to go on his own, is he really hoping to get somewhere? But i fear this will never change as there are too many "I do it for myself riders in the elite bunch". yes i agree with a good attacking race, it makes it good to watch but im saying there has to be some calm control amongst the teams and not headless panic at the first sign of a slight surge cause this also causes crashes. As for the development riders, I would not know how to help them get that experience before they ride elites, my only suggestion would be to do a grading system and run two elite batches, the high seeded or graded teams ride top batch and the lower grade teams or lower grade riders, based on seeding, not colour, ride in the seond batch, that leaves after the elites, juniors and maybe with or just after the ladies. what you folks think?
  19. new wheel as some spokes might have weakened and will break under tension while being rebuilt and the rim will be weak, as well as its a pain in the ass rebuilding these wheels and inevitably our labour and spokes is more expensive than just buying a new wheel.
  20. ha ha ha. no worries. watch out for that beam.
  21. Boksburg. no epoh. its along hendrik potgieter in the west rand.
  22. well its good to vary your brand of bike and see what is best for you. if you go for something italian or of a compact geometry frame then there will be a noticable difference. every frame from a different manufacturer is different, at the bike shop i work at we get a demo bike to use once a month and so far i've ridden a ridley noah and now an orbea orca, my personal bike is a giant TCR comp and to me they are all different.
  23. not me.
  24. yeah dischem
