  2. Thanks David, i took the headset bearing code to every bearing supplier i could find and not one had any clue as to which bearing it is, landed up having to buy from the LBS and they are NOT cheap, seems like the headset bearing in an odd size
  3. now if somebody could give us the codes for cannondale headset bearings too this would be excellent start to the day
  4. nope just plain blue armband with the words bike pure on, its an anti doping initiative www.bikepure.org
  5. Have any of you had any experience dealing with BikePure locally? this is such a great initiative but i have really been let down by their service. I was wondering if this was an isolated incidence or if this is the norm. Without going into too much detail, there where items ordered, wrong stuff delivered, promises made to correct the mistake and then silence..............numerous opportunities given to correct the mistake but nothing!! Sad really because i would like to see a lot more riders with those blue armbands on
  6. should add the rockman to that list
  7. there have been no incidents in the emerald area, our club riders use that area extensively and there have been no problems. the problem area (in the past) has been spider valley, the turbo motors area is a bad spot in general so take care out there guys
  8. i blame strava
  9. jeeez sorry to hear about it, please let us know where this happened! i am going to guess thats its the spider valley area but please let us know so we can warn the local riders

  19. Hi Davem without going into too much details, please see official correspondence we sent out on Friday regarding this matter. The matter is being dealt with by our Lawyer at the moment so i would prefer not to get into the details. None the less, Our event did go on without the sanctioning of TSA Dear Triathlete It has come to our attention that malicious allegations have been made by TSA that the Prestige Ultra Event is non-compliant in terms of the technical requirements pertaining to hosting of sporting events. After consulting with our Legal advisor we can gladly confirm that the Prestige Ultra and sprint event complies with the requirements as set out in the No. 2 of 2010: Safety at Sports and Recreational Events act, 2010 We can therefore reiterate that based on Legal opinion the Prestige Ultra and sprint event WILL take place as we are fully compliant with all the specified requirements and have all the required approval documentation to prove this. We consequently ensure that a high quality, safe event will presented to the athlete. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank you all for the support you have shown us in the past and we truly hope that this support will continue going forward.
  20. HI Stiggy You will be receiving correspondence via email shortly about the reimbursement of the temp licenses! you are correct that the temp license money would be paid to TSA for a sanctioned event, but because this was an unsanctioned event the money will be reinburst to you as soon as we have resolved the "how to" part of it
  21. Glad you had a good race Tankisbyon! Very interesting point about the race yesterday is that it was the first time in the history of the event (26 year) that nobody was taken out of the water everybody that started the swim finished without assistance, according to Eastern lifesaving its a first for them too All in all i think we had a very successful event with just one guy coming off his bike after sliding on a cateye after going off the road! Congratulations to all the triathletes that finished the race. Word from the medics on the course was that the road surface temp reached 39 deg C at one stage. Good luck to everybody training for Ironman!!
  22. Hi Tankisbyon the venue isn't bad at all, there is some nice grassy areas next to the river with lots of willow trees, perfect spot to chill and read a book while you are racing
  23. Hi Bodhi that time is for registration on race day, i will ask Cyclelab to correct this
  24. couldnt we start a thread with LCHF recipes? i am seriously running out of ideas
