I hate to see her go, but I'm selling my C64 in the Classifieds. I'm negotiable on the price and think that the complete bike with Super Record 12 speed and Campag Bora Ultra 35 wheels is fairly priced. I'm also happy to split up and asking the following for each: - C64 56S framset including Colnago bars and stem = R48k - Campag Super Record 12 speed mechanical groupset = R30k - Campag Bora Ultra 35 wheels with Conti GP5000 25mm fitted = R20k Bike was not used much so everything is in great condition. Happy to take any comments / suggestions / leads. Thanks.

You should be worrying about weight...power to weight ratio is key and reducing your weight is the easiest way to improve in that area. Try snacking on Woolworths protein bars - cheap for a protein bar at R10 each and a good way to stay away from the carbs when you are looking for something to snack on.

I've decided to buy a 29er HT and also to keep my current 26er full sus - I wont be able to sell it for what I think it is worth and I'm keen to have the choice between the 2 bikes. I've heard that the price difference between 29ers and 26ers is going to be reducing when the 2012 bikes are available. Anyone else heard this? Based on that thinking I'm waiting for the 2012 Cannondale Flash 29er as I reckon it is going to be a similar price to 2011 model....or am I dreaming??

The sad part is that the early part of Stage 2 (yesterday) seemed so organised? I was watching with a fairly big crowd at the first KOM point at the top of Christiaan de Wet. There were plenty of cops and marshalls ahead of the riders. Traffic was under control and crowd support was great. I was ready to watch the finish at Monte Casino and then the stuff ups came! Poor planning at the end of the day? And add a few more years before any of the big teams will even think about coming. Pity.

I also heard that the prediction is for the wind to pump in PE later in the week and on the weekend. Disk wheel might not be the best idea then...

The Caveman also lapped me on the run at Buffelspoort - he is the man! I'm sure that he will get a Zipp disk wheel from somewhere. Even without it I reckon he is going to kill the TT at SA Champs. Go Caveman!

Especially considering that Flex has already acknowledged your rant, provided an explanation for what you might have considered to be inconsiderate behaviour...and more importantly apologised: https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/1723-amashova/page__st__80 I can also only imagine the number of cyclists in your group that wanted to jump into the faster Standard Bank group and contributed to the chaos. I don't think it is fair that you choose to pick on a group just because they have the same kit on and make an easy target.

This is really terrible and sad news, Greg. I will be thinking of Damian and hoping that he shows the type of strength that he has on the bike and recovers fully. My thoughts are also with Waldek and the rest of his family. Grees
