Sure this is the ladies Frame?

BSR seems like a good buisness. The only negative is why anybody would spend R11 500 on a 29er frame which weights 1580g vs a Planet X (On-One/Planet X) Dirty Harry 29er which weights 1170g and probably costs (all courier & import duties) around R8500 max. Both frames in my eyes come from somewhere in China/Taiwan...or wherever. You sound like the pro, maybe you should be giving the pro's advice! What you forgot to mention is setback, which will shift the weight more towards the centre, but again, you will realise once you have been for the correct setup. (For your specific riding style) I laugh at all the folks above stating they installed a slightly longer stem and now feels more comfortable, it's not that simple as it all depends how flexible/nimble you are as to how the bike is setup. A certain rider might have short legs and long arms or visa versa and will then require different length crank arms. It's a proven fact that one should choose the 'smaller' frame as its more nimble and handles better, a bike with a 35mm stem must look soooo stupid!

I still think that this is not entirely true. Burry Stander (XC rider) has an extremely long stem as this suits his kind of riding according to Jeroen Swart. The London Olympic course looked extremely tough! His handling of the bike along with Niño Shurters seemed fine! This made me laugh! He's Burry Standers personal coach! Once you have been for the correct setup then you and the rest of the crowd will realise that it's not as simple as reducing/increasing stem length as you see fit, it comes down to the correct setup!

Above statement is totally incorrect. Once a rider has been setup correctly (in my case through Jeroen Swart) he/she will dictate frame size, saddle height, saddle setback, reach, etc. My reach needed to be 605mm, GIANT frame (effective top tube) are 595mm for medium and 615mm for large. I had a medium frame which meant I needed a 110mm stem to achieve the measurement listed above.

@JaakCT, exactly what I will be doing when on holiday in Cape Town March/April next year. Will also definitely include Jonkershoek, Oak Valley and Lebanon trails. Security needs to be beefed up and SANparks need to come to the party! End of story.

This is getting worse, along with the bicycles getting stolen in/around Cape Town. Comes back to my question about the service you paying SANparks for.......maybe the money is going into the president R200m house.... Hope something is done to the useless c@#%s. The S-works go for £200, which works out to be R2500-R2800, think they going for R3500+ in SA. Let me know as we have the Specialized Concept stores here in London. I had an issue with the new S-Works prevail helmet which I bought earlier this year. The furthest tip of the peak started to delaminate from the little foam uprights. I decided to take it back after using for more or less one month. The manager took a look at it and not even 1minute later he confirmed they will replace it with another from the store room. I walked out a verry happy customer and for that I will continue to purchase Specialized products. I couldnt believe the service compared to the retailers back home. I had another issue with the S-Work shoes which I purchased several years ago in Cape Town and to cut a long story short, the agent for specialized in the Cape (specialized recently revoked their contract/rights) refused to exchange my faulty shoes. You clearly don't understand what I'm getting at. I'm not having a go at the group that maintain the trails. They have done a really good job. It's just typical Saffa mentality of paying and receiving nothing in return. But hey, when I come on holiday with all my £'s I'm gonna be laughing. If I choose to ride at Stellies, I don't mind paying the money as the trails, area and vibe are awesome!

The funny thing is, the fee has increased by more than double over the past year, for what?? What are they doing to Tokai trails or the security with all that money? Please tell me where your money is being spent because I have ridden in Tokai for over fourteen years and the only difference I can see over this time, is that most of the trees are cut down.

Maybe Tokai for the odd ride, if I don't get attacked on a night ride! Keep up the work on the trails, whenever and whatever your plans are for Tokai.

Will be back around mid March to April so I plan on doing plenty riding. Not so sure about Tokai as I've heard the trails have taken a turn for the worst from the weather. Also heard that the single entry fee is stupidly expensive! Will be doing most of my riding in Stellenbosch and Grabouw.

The only reason for the guys riding up those single tracks is purely for training. They don't do it to piss people off! I used to ride the single tracks up as its really good training. PoS can clarify which zones are a no-go for riding up, but as far as I know fairie garden, boulders, mamba and boomslang can be used in both directions.

What you say is correct! When I return on holiday next year, (after riding in wales and the Alps), I will be doing just that!

This is classic. I'm reading all this stuff from London and nothing has changed! Seems like no one can get through to PoS and his solo organisational meetings with sanparks! Who elected you as spokesman? Where's your committee? Have you got everyone's interests in mind? .....And the list goes on with this amateur!

PoS you never answered my question! Don't bitch and moan that cyclists aren't helping when 70% of all mtbers in Tokai don't use the Hub and are therefore oblivious to what's going on!

This topic is classic!! Reading all this stuff from London, priceless! I think the main problem PoS is that no one knows who you are but yet you want to be in control of all the maintenance in/around Tokai! Only the DH riders know who you are from the build days, but why don't you stand at the Tokai gate on a Saturday and Sunday with some flyers handing them out encouraging new/old cyclists to come and join the build days. In that way every single cyclist can see what 'your' plans are towards the trails and which areas will get attention, in a particular order. Only a select few actually use the hub, but yet you guys (capricorn, PoS, jimmy hardtail, cptmayhem) think you are the 'manne' from Tokai! I have met you (PoS) on the trails once before and I'm surprised that your helmet fits your head! Keep ruling the Hub......and Tokai....or think that you do!

Its a business, therefore when they decided to open it for running or riding the entry fee needs to include maintenance! It's so obvious that plenty traffic and the bad winters erode the trails. That's why I got pissed off with Tokai as the money spent (entry fee) AT TOKAI was not staying in Tokai! It's not about cyclists volunteering to keep the trails looking good as you then preventing the 'correct people' to do the maintenance. And I'll look like the bad guy because I'm having a go at all the good volunteers but I'm trying to understand why the money is not spent on the trails I or many others used to or still frequent! South African mentality!
