  1. Hey guys, Ride provisionally canceled due to the weather. Will update @ 16:00. If there is any change Last night looked very good for a ride So, for now, no riding in the dark, at night, in the forest, illegally, like criminals B)
  2. Well said, LOL!!!!
  3. I think you will be the only one standing at the stake! With your Chillie Chicken Potjie. Last ride we did there must have been over 50 people (+- 5 groups of 10 or more) riding @ night. Every single group had either come from the aerial or was riding in the direction of the Silvermine gate. We came down @ about 20:45 and a group was just starting there ride. You now are officially hijacking our post. Therefore if you aint gonna ride with us then dont comment about `chop of the month award`!!
  4. That is rule #1A
  5. Agree 100%
  6. Don`t see your point? Chops on the braai?, where, your place?
  7. Hope the weather plays its part on Thursday!
  8. It`s not R3600 because thats excluding VAT. So therefore it is R4104 vs R4400 I know CRC is better but maybe BC/CWC can do better. Never forget to add VAT to all amounts before comparing!
  9. Thought is was ok, but do those guys know about BMX`s?????
  10. [/url] See you next Tuesday or Thursday ? I`m keen for a ride on Tuesday & Thursday night, but if you keen for one night then it will be Thursday @ 18:30. Weather depending. See you guys next week.........
  11. Great ride last night!! Weather played it`s part Four of us rode on a some mixed single track up to Silvermine gate and back down. Thanks to Splat and Niel for joining. Hopefully next Tuesday night we will have more riders B)
  12. Do everything myself except true-ing up wheels and shock rebuilds. Fork attended to myself. Sick and tired of getting my bike back from LBS and still find brake fluid on the underneath of the caliper or they used bolts which are too short to fasten the caliper to the front shock (SID Race) and strip the thread in the shock!!!! Wanted to kill the techie that worked on it! After several disappointments, I know do it myself.
  13. Hope you guys bring your kites tonight, will definitely be easier to the mast Will prob stay low and do some single track & some loops! Let me know how many can make it!
  14. I said Thursdays!??
  15. Nice and big! Now no one can say they didnt know what time we were riding!
  16. Sounds to me like a get-rich-quick vibe, selling sh!t!! Dodge!!!!!
  17. Sounds to me like you trusted our handy Postoffice to deliver. Next time try UPS door to door courier services! I made an order on a Friday, Front shock arrived on the Wednesday! 3-4 Days! Nothing bad to say about CRC!!!! Sent them an email after receiving my front shock praising them on their service.
  18. And that pretty much sums it up! Thursdays @ 18:30!!! B) Ps: No Bong`s allowed
  19. BUMP Looks like Thursday nights at around 18:30?? Looking forward to Summer coming along as the trails will be warmer & dryer as well as more light until at least 20:00!
  20. that could happen during any ride, day or night! if you going to compare this to something then let's compare apples with apples!
  21. Anybody else keen to ride?
  22. Rules, what rules? Taxis don`t obey the rules and endanger peoples lives on the road??? All we doing is having some fun so whoever mentioned rules, get a life!
  23. I have had a Polar S725X for the past 4 years. Battery life is awesome as well as the Protrainer program. I recently bought a Garmin Edge 305 second hand from my bro. The problem with the Edge 305`s is that they were discontinued due to the battery giving issues. (Will only hold charge for maybe 4 hours or less!) The Garmin training program takes a little getting used to but, you can see your every move at a particular spot. So if you training on a set course you know well, then you can for example check your cadence up an entire hill and the time it took to get up that same hill. Whereas with the Polar you are unaware of your exact point unless you use the lap button to `set a beacon`, which you can check out as a later stage on the Protrainer. The Edge 500 has replaced this model. However, if you can pick up an Edge 305 second hand with a battery problem for a good price then you can do this mod. http://www.jimcarson.com/2009/replacing-the-battery-in-a-garmin-edge-305/ I did this over the weekend, replaced it with a Nokia battery, 1020mAh, 3.7V. Was a little bigger than the original, but nothing a dremel couldn`t sort out! Original battery is 800mAh therefore I now get 25% more battery life. Used it now for several rides, battery lasts for 12 hours plus!
  24. bump B)
