  1. By moderate if you mean delete or block low scores then that’s incorrect. Take a look at Rapha. Plenty of 1,2 and 3 star reviews. Own your mistakes and make it better. That’s what ethical management does.
  2. So you’re ok with them blocking 1 and 2 star reviews so they never appear on their website? try not to conflate dealing with the issue via customer service. That’s a separate question.
  3. By their own admission they do not post the 1 and 2 star product reviews. Ever. Those reviews never make it onto the website or into the overall product review averages. You may call that “finer semantics” I call it gaming / faking / manipulation the stats in a dishonest way.
  4. Leave them a review on their website. Oh wait the review will never see the light of day. Got to protect the 5 star rating.
  5. To me it's a question on honesty and respecting your customers @CIOVITA You do not publish one and two star reviews even if it's a well thought out review from a verified customer. In fact your team ignores questions about why those reviews are not posted. Even if the review app is a plugin (or external platform as you put it) you control what that App displays by screening reviews. By excluding the 1 and 2 star reviews you are "gaming" or faking the overall review percentages the plugin produces. So the overall rating ends up being as fake as your <3% "merino" jersey. It's a slippery slope. BTW - I actually really like some of the other Ciovita products I have.
  6. Filtered implies the reviews actually exist online. That is very different to blocked and never posted in an effort to preserve the 5 star rating.
  7. I'm not talking about filtering. They are excluding reviews completely so it does not effect the overall rating. They don't make it onto the website. Sure it's not a requirement to have any reviews at all - but it the company emails customers and asks them to review their purchases then they should publish what they get. Or remove the review section entirely. To me it's a question of honesty and it tells us a lot about a companies management team.
  8. Whats you point? I tried that route.
  9. Nah they should have the balls to show all reviews. Even Rapha, the kings of marketing, does that.
  10. Let's get your definition then. If a company screen all reviews and only posts the very positive ones but blocks the slightly negatives ones what would you call it?
  11. Size was just an example. My review had nothing to do with size. "As for their Corsa bibs .... not again". If you wrote that review guaranteed it would not be on their site.
  12. Faking, gaming, manipulating.... How do I know? Personal experience and not just mine.
  13. I usually read cycling clothing product reviews because its good to get feedback on how the item fits, wears, temperature range etc. It's pointless having product reviews if the company only publishes the glowing reviews that say how awesome the product is. The constructive feedback ones are useful. Those reviews that point out the good and the bad. Something like this jersey is well made but I didn't love the fit or fabric so am rating it 2 or 3 stars. Ciovita block those reviews which IMO is kinda lame and dishonest of them.
  14. A 40 x 11 is good for 55Kmhr before spinning out. Plenty of gearing for a gravel race unless you are Matt Beers.
  15. Oops posted now. 29er. Thanks.
  16. Stans MK3 are junk and Stan’s know it so they changed the design. The MK4 is very good. I prefer the Spank Vibracore rims though. The Vibracore really works to mute vibrations. I’m not mountain biking nowadays and have a Spank Vibracore Boost wheelset for sale in the classifieds.
  17. Yeah internal width makes a huge difference. I have some 42mm tyres that measure 48mm on a 28mm internal rim.
  18. There don’t seem to be a lot of rim brake frames that can fit wider than 28mm. Are you riding a rim brake bike with 32mm or wider tyres? If so what frame and brake calipers are you using.
  19. Droo what’s the advantage of going to Microspline over HG if you already have a HG driver? Better cassettes options, better shifting?
  20. Were you on an MTB race committee? There were a few MTB events that had big title sponsors that could pocket entry fees but not many. Is there a single gravel event that has a major title sponsor that covers all costs? Doubt it. It’s not the glory days of MTB stage racing.
  21. FYI - They are designed for bikes with clearance up to about 45 and tires from 35 to 42 while maintaining the air flow design of a semi deep rim.
  22. Have you built up any of the Nextie 45’s with the ultra wide internal? I think it’s something like 29.
  23. Let’s not get carried away. There have been a couple of incidents on that section. Regular makes it sound like it happens weekly which is just not the case. Same for Redhill. It’s happened before but it’s not a regular thing and I’d be perfectly happy riding there alone. Avoid the Hout Bay township area for sure because there are much better ways to ride up to or down from Constantia Nel

    The Munga

The Mungas been done on a ridged single speed but a bmx would be next level.
  25. They cost $45 so R950 is in line with exchange and vat. If you want extra tall ones DM Jack Black on this forum.
