My comment earlier about being in it for the money certainly looks to ring true.

That is shocking and goes totally against the grain of what a CM is all about! People like that aren't welcome at events like CM or any other for that matter.

One of guys we had lunch with on our way home is mates with the dude that used that bridge as a cheese grater and only mentioned the teeth, not the jaw.

From what I gather, the guy will need some dental work as he lost a tooth or two.

We had 2 Singlespeed teams entered. The one did 39 laps (the race snakes) and our team managed 37 laps. An awesome course that suited our bikes perfectly. Well done to those Hubbers that rode solo; Mons, Sir M and Slick! (Apologies if I left anyone out) 2 major complaints which we viewed in a serious light and which could impact on our entering next year, viz - Very little catering.We were told that there would be plenty of food so we only brought snacks. There was 1 guy there making boerewors rolls and he wasn't aware that he had to be there for 24 hours. What about someone selling bacon and egg rolls in the morning? Someone would have made a fortune. Plenty of riders went into town to go and buy supper. - No coffee station at all! Seriously, it's a 24hr race for heavens sake! It seems to me that the organisers are only in it to make money and not look after the riders at all!!

Don't get me wrong, I'm not taking issue with BS, FedGroup & Itec coming to the party and snapping up KE, my issue is rather with the headline.

I haven't read any of the thread but my first thought when I read the headline is "Why does KE need a lifeline?". What an extremely sensationalist and misleading headline!! As if FedGroup-Itec are doing him a massive favour. Bar Burry, he's the best MTB rider in the country and I have no doubt that he would have secured a decent sponsorship without being thrown a "lifeline".

Looks dodgy to me cause those rims are worth more than half the cars in Brakpan. Seriously, those specs are pure copy and paste from a German website judging by the "Min. Reifendruck: 8 bar / 115 psi" and you wouldn't even find CRC or CWC quoting those type of specs. Price seems to good to be true an in my opinion, an easy way for the dude to make a quick R4k without any outlay.
