Hi Guys, I am considering buying a MTB. I currently road ride and know some stuff about the frames,groupsets, wheels etc. I have no clue on MTB and want to buy for december to ride while on leave. I am currently looking at a Bianchi Mutt 6600 (R9999) or Bianchi DOSS 4800 (R4799) from Solomons ( http://www.solomons.co.za/node/1026). Now, in road bikes, Bianchi you pay through your "you know what".... these seems very well priced. What is the catch? Is Bianchi or these models no good? I am only going to use the bikes for recreational use so don't need fancy. What are the things I should consider? Any advice will be appreciated

I think I will do the same, they don't go very dark and im use to my dark shades - guess it will take some getting use to.

I bought them for R2100 but only got 1 set of clear lenses... Guess I have to buy another set for driving

well then I guess I cant use them as day to day driving glasses as well.

Finally!! Got myself a pair of Rudy projects Rydons with Photchromic lenses.... At the Sandton convention center. The guy showed me how the lens changes with light using a UV light thingy magoo and was impressed. When I left and put them on in the car, they hardly go dark... Is it meant to adjust over time or what gives?

I bought the Thule 9103 i think it is for R1800.... it works well. only problem is there is no locking feature. It does tend to scratch the bumper slightly, but some compound and those will come straight out. There was a for sale last week for R800 ... search the forum.

I bought Giant... will fit it tonight.

well my main concern is for race day. i dont mind the weight, cos if u weigh up the time lost from a puncture and the extra weight, i take extra weight. I just want to know if it works on rode bikes....

on the bottle?? My tube has it inside already I think (havent opened package yet) and i got for rode bike... I hope I got the right one. Is it avail for road tubes??

Hi Guys, Do these tubes with "slime or snot" in them actually work? How do they work? Will I be able to ride normally if I get a puncture?

Thanks Guys, will give these tips a try. I am no expert, but it sounds to me that it is definately coming from inside the crank area... My first impression was the bearings... but I'm gonna try these tips

Recently I had my new bike serviced and since i got it back i noticed a clicking sound from the crank. After some cycling on the trainer it seems to have gone, but now when i ride standing a push hard it re appears. What can it be? Is it an issue as i am doing the 94.7? and dont wanna break down... hehe

Hi Guys, Looking at building a bike rather than buying. I am not sure which groupset to go for? Price wise the 105 looks good, but will I be dissapointed later? I am new to riding, but loving it! I do want the brakes with the cable inside the handle bars.... which Shimano/Campag or SRAM have this? Any help will be appreciated.
