  2. Just bought a Bianchi 928 C2C Full carbon frame for 9k and wanna know if that price is good
  3. Well got to ride Tokai on Saturday. It was dark, cold and raining down.... but the most amazing ride I ever had! What an amazing place! Makes me wanna move to CT even more. Never seen anything more beautiful. As far as the technical aspect is concerned, It's alot more technical than Teak.. but perhaps it felt that way due to the rain and the routes my mate took me on. Two bails later.... and him having to wait for me I also finally realised what a granny gear is for!! Holy S... there are some steep climbs trying to get to the top All in all a great experience! Will def be doing it again on my trips down
  4. Im there on Saturday... cannot wait!
  5. I have been riding MTB for 3 months (primarily a roadie) and from JHB, so ride the spruit and Teak often. How does Tokai compare to Teak Blue? Will I survive or is it that MUCH more difficult from an elevation and technical point of view?
  6. eish, so Im a grinder.... I try keep it at 80 on flats and climbing depends on the mountain - anything above that feels outta control... hehe

I have a pair.... the business!! Highly recommended
  11. Thanks! Thats good info..... So the weight difference is minor and I imagine based on components and rims..... no point upgrading my frame... I have the 1200-D and absolutely love the bike. All my mates ride Giants and they were saying my bike was heavy compared to theres, but looks like its 700 gr only.. So still happy with my purchase considering it cost 5k less
  12. Yeah done that, got the specs from that site and all I noticed in difference was components. It doesnt tell you if there is a difference in weight though
  13. Hi Guys, Anyone know what the difference is between these two models regarding weight. I assume the 3000-D is the model up?? But other than the 1200 sporting SRAM and 3000 sporting Shimano and few differences in shocks I dont see anything else. Any help will be appreciated.
  14. Hi guys, I currently do alot of MTB and road cycling plus do some IDT. I use a formula to work out how my training is progressing. I dont have a fancy RX800 or 310TX so made my own based on info from my cat eye. Not sure if it is worthwhile... (AVG Speed/ AVG HR)X 100 So this ranges from 15.xx on MTB to 29.XX on IDT. Then once a week, I train on IDT for 1 hour at avg speed of 35 at cadence of 80 and see my value and hopefully, it climbs. Are there other methods to get decent info that you know of?
  15. just did it... now will get weekly update regarding track avail! brilliant... plus nice reminder to get my a.. into gear
  16. Just fitted my towbar and got the Buzzrack with locks all for R5000! What a bargain. The Buzzrack is brilliant with its features and its very well built
  17. Best buy I found as Im in the market is the Buzzrack. More features, better price and its well built.
  18. Dont do it! Thats such a beautiful bike - You will regret it... If you do sell it and its a 58 PING ME ;)hehe jk. When the next 94.7, Argus or OFM come round.... you will miss her.

  20. Who is Bennie Roux - contact details plz
  21. As I said before, when we stopped at the robot, I greeted him. He was playing with his iphone/pod and acknowledged me, When I went past him, I did say "passing right" and raised my hand and wasnt at all nasty to the guy... At the end of the day, I think it comes down to risk and the risk you place on other riders.... I have no problem in sharing the road and riding with others, but be safe. Lesson learnt: When you pass someone - dont assume you dropped them, check, and if they still there GAS IT!
  22. I dont mind somebody slipping me, but my argument is that he didnt bother to make me aware he was there and when I tried to change lanes to turn right , he was right there front wheel overlapped- It was a very close call for me and I didnt appreciate the risk he brought to the situation seeing as though we were moving at 45km/h on a main road. If i did stray right he would have bailed and that would also be a bad thing. I guess I just expect people to be safe (the cars are dangerous enough and now to have to worry about other cyclists is an issue for me). I am not racing, but training and focusing on my zone Quite easy - just say Passing right/left if you want to go past (which I do and many guys do) or slipping/rider behind - then hang on and enjoy the pull. Logic..... Daloco, I was not rude to the guy nor did I have the opportunity to teach he something about "wheel sucking" because as I saw he him and almost went ploughing into the pavement and bush he just kept going... Agteros he took MY safety away... Good enough?? It is what it is, just would be nice to have some sort of "unspoken rule" for safety
  23. Hi Guys, I would like your opinion. Yesterday i went for a training ride on the road. On my way back, I caught up to another cyclistd quite easily and as I caught him, we got caught by a traffic light. When the light when green, the other cyclists decided to go hard, I took a while to clip in and get into my stride but took me a bout a minute to catch up to him, sticking to my zone and pace. As I caught him, I didnt sit in his slip stream and went by. I rode the last part of my ride and put in a final push into zone 4 to finish up (this was about 5km flat) As i tapped off I needed to cross lanes as my turn was right and I looked over my shoulder to make sure no cars were coming and this... for lack of a better word... ******** was not only sitting in my slip but his front wheel was overlapping my rear and I got such a fright that I almost dropped it into the pavement Now, firstly.. if you training - what is the point of sitting on somebodies tail! Secondly, if you going to sit on somebodies tail, surely it should be somebody you riding with or at LEAST ask/tell so that both parties are comfortable and aware! This guy put me at risk and considering I dont know him from a bar of soap, I really think he should have either 1. asked 2. dropped off 3. gone past if he could. What is the etiquette? If any? If I come past somebody, I always ensure i say passing right and good morning and then thanks.
  24. I do alot of training on the IDT and treadmill... and I would like to use it between my Roadbike and MTB as well. Are they any drawbacks I should know of for the 310 or RX800?
