  2. Hi Guys, I have just got extra sensor for my MTB ans want to share my computer on my Road bike and my mountain bike. The wheel setting on the computer is 2096. Is this the same for my MTB Bike? I have a 26er.....
  3. I am a roadie and decided to take the plunge to buy a glorified BMX to see what the fuss is all about . So last week bought a Merida Ninety Sixer and started getting set up.... I went to Teak Place this morning and hit the Green route in the rain with a mate.... WHAT A JOL! I am completely sold..... haven't had so much fun in ages. Furthermore, Teak Place is brilliant and must compliment them on a wonderful service offering...
  4. I just bought my Merida Ninety Sixer from Westdene.... Must say I was impressed with their prices (but thats it). You have to bargain with these guys - Cajees will match any price or better it.
  5. Bought a Merida 96 -1200..... Got an awesome price
  6. Hi Guys, Decided to buy a MTB for some winter riding and leave the road bike to rest.... Looking at 18k Budget and want a full sus. These are my choices and the price and components similar... All feel good but cannot decide..
  7. WOW, That is a bargain. I am looking at buying a MTB and its between the Anthem X2 OR Scale 50 or 96 -3000D and let me tell you, that price is good!
  8. 3H28.....YEAH BABY!
  9. I will be wearing my Italia kit ( So mama can see me on TV) Hopefully I will ride like an Italian pro!
  10. Im in M.... I would def be happy with a sub 03H30
  11.
  12. Purely from a steel scrub used to remove tar out your legs after a tumble - take it from me - its worth it! Secondly, if you gonna wear Lycra and for aero and the whole PRO effect - you may as well shave da pistons! You look a royal chop with your latest and greatest ASSOS on your machine and hairy legs... Plus a good massage is that much better without the fur and if you have a problem with muscle definition as I do... it helps to make your legs look a bit more defined
  13. Very nice!
  14. WOW - Now thats nice! Not something you see/hear of often May the cycling gods reward you!
  15. So the Thumb tackers have a Hijack Licence only during 94.7 and Argus training??? Surely it would be an ongoing thing all year round? I ride the route every weekend basically not only when the 94.7 and Argus are on - the only time I experience thumb tacks is when the volume of riders increase and the thumb tackers get irritated. Im a lone rider and I must say that I don't agree with the method used by this person/s but as an EX cycle lab rider I do understand to a degree - CycleLab, MTN Club and any other " Group rides" need to pull their fingers out their ass and stop being so inconsiderate... Perhaps us cyclists need to create a "policing" system to make sure that when cyclist do ride like morons in the cradle- they get reprimanded some how.. How to do this will need some brainstorming and thought....
  16. Hi Guys, Thinking of upgrading my groupset. Currently riding a Shimano mix of Ultegra. Prices are pretty similar with Campag slightly more but all 10sp.Currently riding Merida but am looking at changing to Bianchi or Bottechia frame - but that could be a while still...... What would you recommend?
  17. I agree I have been busy with work of late and didnt have time to follow the race yesterday or see the route info. How I found out: Went for my Sunday ride this morning and did my usual route to JHB ZOO from fourways and NO SIGNS and my climbs from Nothumberland to Ontdekkers to see a SINGLE sign that said Tour of South Africa 1KM to go for what was the king of the mountain climb. I did a total of 90 km of which 40 odd was on the route course and there were NO SIGNS like you find on the 94.7 in bright yellow advising of road closure... Heads should roll
  18. Nah, it was the organisers not being able to stop the taxi's from driving through... wasnt aimed at Tour - just one of those things from bad planning
  19. No race info on TV screen just a stoopid clock which means what?!?!? Soweto taxi blockade take almost takes out pelaton and now whole race stopped in Rosebank..... SHOCKING SHOCKING SHOCKING! How embarrassing!

  22. Hi Guys, Im going down to Umhlanga for the holiday season and was wondering if anyone had any recommended road routes 50km+ in the mornings
  23. Yeah I guess. Certain "group" rides that ride as a bunch and block traffic have no regard. Spose they have a right to be upset, but thia approach is wrong. They should have police enforce the rules and start fining these riders or clubs.
