  1. I 'splashed' out on a Rapha rain jacket, fully waterproof ( tested that personally) , nice and thin so packs nicely. But as with all fully waterproof jackets you will get warm / hot wearing it!
  2. Hi I did this route very nice, a bit washed out approaching Mcgregor but a nice ride.
  3. Hi Am looking at purchasing a pair of (expensive)DMT shoes, seems these guys stock them, they based in Pretoria Im not! Any one had dealings with them, discussed via whatsapp all seems good but would like any actual feedback from a hubber. Thanks
  4. er..... David, please can you study your Youtube video about not signing up next year. There's still time to join me on the Munga in November too!
  5. Hi all. Can't see where and times for registration for the event. Also what time is 100 miler starting. I do know where it's starting at least! Thanks
  6. Thanks guys I'll have a look at these options
  7. Hi all Staying just outside Robertson (Riverton Stud) this weekend, are there any grave routes around there, 50 to 100km. Ideally not on the main road though Ive looked and it looks a it sparse to me
  8. Hi I purchased direct from Tailfin in the UK last year. They do not remove the VAT from your sale, but they fully reimbursed me the duties that I incurred once shipment was received in SA. Fast delivery to! I used it on my gravel bike for the Munga last year without any issues (and intend to do the same again this year), the pannier was rock solid for the whole ride. I have a dropper on the gravel bike so purchased the extension piece, dropper still functioned without fouling on the bag.
  9. Hey Gert. Was considering this myself, not sure if my partner is considering it too. I've asked him.
  10. There is sort of (295km), I'll be there shivering at 9pm on the start line

    Munga 2025

Hey Dave. No need for fomo, entries are still open for 2025. Come join me!
  12. I did also connectef to zwift, fulgaz and Wahoo app. Kickr was found successfully(for all data fields) on all apps although the same symptom as described by poster was evident.
  13. Ended up buying new Kickr zwift, wahoo offered a 20% discount on the purchase.
  14. Hi My kickr does not create any resistance, it shows no power or cadence. If I spin I can manage to achieve 12kph. My kickr pairs successfully with various apps, zwift, fulgaz and the wahoo app without issue and all sensors found. Has been unplugged to reset and firmware up to date. Anyone found somewhere in Cape Town that fixes them (not just a service).. Failing that anyone know what discount wahoo offer when you have a defunct unit that is out of warranty? Thanks for any input.
  15. Hey Dave I agree with you, they were very testing! Going back this year for 200miler again though!
  16. I am. Munga training for me.
  17. Yes on the gravel bike
  18. Guys, thankyou, will amend ride based on the comments One other thing, need to do another long ride on Sunday too, same area, thinking of heading towards Stanford way that time, again OK to take the main road into Hermanus, there is a location on the right if my memory serves me correct
  19. Evening all. Away at Onrus this weekend, LSD as per coaches plan so trying to plan rides around Onrus. As we all know time is sometimes not on our side to complete the ride times so I find I have to go out early to get the time in. So would leave for this route around 6am. Anything I should be aware of with this route regarding safety?
  20. Church Street, Woodstock again! Witnessed a failed attempt of a tosser grabbing a back pocket of cyclist ( a couple of lady riders) battling against the wind this morning at around 10am. Was maybe 30 metres behind when witnessing the incident the scum shouted obscenities at me (I greeted him with a few to start with) as he slithered back into his hole, Be careful, these chunts are brazen.
  21. Hi s Staying here for the long weekend. Anyone have any GPX route for the MTB trails here, or some gravel routes. Thanks
  22. Ok I can see by the comments that the common consensus is don't do it! If your reading this thread whoever it was take notice!
  23. Newlands Road,
  24. Hi. So as usual I've decided that I now want to do the race. I've heard by a couple of people now that if I turn up at the expo then they'll sort an entry for me, how true is this? Otherwise I'm willing to buy someone's entry and ride under their race number etc. Anyone done it this way? Thanks for any advice.
