  1. no-one can answer that question other than the rider himself. for instance was Robbie Hunter a brilliant junior cyclist? i can't remember him from his junior days. but he had the dedication to go o/seas and stick it out until he made it in the pro ranks. has he "made it" yet? the best person to answer that would be Robbie himself.
  2. it doesn't cost anything to shout "are u ok?" if they need help you'll know straight away. got caught twice, once in a race my spare also punctured and then on a training ride (by myself) broke the value on the spare. on both occasions i was helped by fellow cyclists stopping to give me their tube.
  3. High Street Cycles don't exist anymore.......went out of business a few months ago.
  4. DONT DO IT - THAT IS - DONT DO THE TOUR OF THE BOLAND - THE LAST TIME IT TOOK PLACE THE ORGANISERS DID NOT PAY OUT THE PRIZE MONEY. AND IF I REMEBER CORRECTLY , THE PRIZE MONEY WAS SPONSORED BY A WELL KNOWN GERMAN CAR DISTRIBUTOR. ASK FRANCOIS OF FALCON SPORTS - HIS TEAM WON MOST OF THE STAGES AND THEY ALL THEY GOT WAS IOU'S

    PPA 3day

checked the ppa website , nothing about this event. ZZZZZZ
  6. i agree with you 100% , by my estimation there were only 4 or 5 late starters in the vets league, one being the yellow jersey. my biggest problem is that we have a race manual that is more concern about transponders, timing mats and the administration of the cyclists. UCI Race rules should be applied en bloc and riders should be familiar with them. they are freely available on internet site etc and maybe ppa and falcon should have them printed and posted at the registration tables. by the way its almost impossible to implement all race rules when there are so many riders riding in own events (fun riders) without race refs. the ppa have created a monster and the prima donnas are squealing like little girls
  7. two events=two cockups. the first event there were a number of disqualifications due to some riders not wearing two jersey numbers and this included the winner. second event started early - by a minute or so - which caused some riders to start after the main body of riders. the yellow jersey holder, who by the way won it by default at Worcester, started late. now i hear that the Redhill vets race has been declared a 'no race' because of the early start. comments from PPA and Falcon most welcome.
