  1. The average opportunist without an 18v grinder should find a 10mm braided cable a bit of a challenge to cut.
  2. I see sportsmans also have a cable for R250. It is 2m x 10mm flexible with vinal coating. This won't stop someone with a big bolt cutter but it should delay them. Also don't use the conventional padlock they are broken open in 2sec with 2 simple 17mm flat spanners.
  3. Holdfast do sell a 2m heavy plastic coated cable that you can thread through the bike, rack and towing eye/ attach to car. You could probably make it with some plastic coated cable and cable clamps from local hardware.
  4. Just a little FYI trivia Tifosi Sports was started in SA in 2010 by Chris Froome.
  5. Maybe swapping all the globes on the rack to LED could solve the problem. But yes consult VW tech workshop first see what they say.
  6. This could be the issue. I had the same but in reverse try to upgrade to LED headlight globes on my Ford and they stop working when starting the car.
  7. Maybe test the rack on another car. You can open the plug on the rack and see if all the connections are correct and tight or auto electrician should be able to sort it.
  8. Can also try these guys. They repaired a Scicon bike bag for me needed hand stitching. https://easy-shoe-bag-repair.business.site/
  9. Maybe try shimano but looks like you had a fall bad scuff on the BOA but no harm trying. As for stiching maybe try your local laundry. There was an old man cobbler that sat at the WierdPark taxi rank he repairs many shoes for me but don't alwase see him.
  10. I know BOA have a lifetime warranty and they swap the BOA for free. Not sure if this is somthing that would be covered. Maybe contact Shimano they might have some sort of warranty on the shoe. https://www.boafit.com/en-us/support/spare-parts
  11. Yes indola have bibs with padding and shorts with padding they also have a range without any padding. Maybe OP found the rack with no padding and gave the next rack a miss.
  12. Where are you located? Maybe try CWC or Cycle Lab but most cycle shops should stock kit that you can try for fit before you buy.
  13. Nothing wrong with Fulcrum Zone wheels. J&J keep most of the spairs for them maybe look at other ways to cut weight.
  14. If the lock does not have the code on it. Take the rack with as the newer locks are numbers above the old lock numbers and only a handfull of keys to try before they hit the corect key number.
  15. Older Thule will have a N code on the lock. Go to Thule with that number and the will sell you a key. Newer Thule don't have the code on the lock. The code will be on your packaging and invoice. If you are in Gauteng go to Amos thule Gift Acres or Joe at Woodmead they can sort it for you.
  16. Two or three drops of Shimano mineral oil in the rubber seal and it should sort the problem.
  17. The reward is that feel good feeling you get for helping someone else and not expecting anything in return.
  18. You do realize this thread is from 2012.
  19. An oval or ellips hole in aluminum is better than a round hole. Ok i won't get into the physics of that but same would be for the windows and doors on a plane etc. Maybe someone with the time could give an explanation.
  20. I think the bottom of the BB would be fine to drill a small hole. Norco cables run outside the down tube so it will route down and pop in at the bottom of the BB. most important is cleaning the hole/ burs sharp edges after you drill to prevent cracks.
  21. I blame the Shimano groupset for the demise of the Bianchi.
  22. I think you hit the nail on the head. " Bogus Topic"
  23. That is a bit uncalled for. You jump on the forum accusing 90% of hub land of been scammers. When someone makes a comment you don't like you throw attitude. You are welcome to take your goodies and sell them someplace else.
  24. I think @Matt and the team keep a tight ship. If you have a problem then report it. But 9 out of 10 you must be the first person to experience this.
