  1. @Zeffer Maybe Charles Kros can give you the correct information.
  2. You can maybe try Cape Cycle sys see if they have an Alexrims in a 26er somthing like a MD25. I have seen them around at various shops. Can find old 29er wheels use the hubs to build nice 26er wheels.
  3. Get a 29er but keep the old 26er the right part will pop up one day then you have 2 toys.
  4. This is so true. I think it is a common mindset that patients seem to think that kid's bikes should last longer and kid's must grow into them as they will not replace the bike next year or whenever.
  5. Parts would be no different to that used on a 29er apart from the wheels. Maybe the old school high-end 26er wheels are hard to find but 26er is still sold new today and is a good transition for kids.
  6. Hey, i have an old set that was replaced on my wife's shoes. One has plenty life other is on its way out. You are welcome to have them if it will work for you.
  7. Yep older Giant Anthem.
  8. At my age the bearings will never get anywhere near the heat seize point
  9. If you do round the allen hole try cut a slot with a dremil and thin disc. Use a large flat screw driver a little oil and maybe a slight tap with a hammer while turning.
  10. Under normal circumstances there is friction and movement between a tube and tyre and it results in a fine powder. But i think adding the third harder item results in more friction and even more movemant as the liner is smoother and harder. I did see something on GCN but more for marginal gains they used silicone spray on the tubes as a lube. Can also try chalk or baby powder.
  11. Who? Rory or wayne.
  12. A slap on the wrist and he will be out in 18 month's.
  13. Found this on my Whatsapp group. Looks like this guy lost his battle with a porcupine. Sealant seems to of held up.
  14. I don't see why it can't fall on the buyer. It is a simple task to arrange a collection. If he wants his goods tomorrow then he can arrange it. I do go a little out of my way and like to get the thing out and not have it hanging.
  15. Shame he is a good guy😂 he probably would too.
  16. Does Philippe deliver?
  17. The biggest issue with shipping should be finding a box or packaging. In today's age getting somthing shipped is a few clicks on a keyboard.
  18. Courier Guy also have the drop option same as Postnet they have Kiosks all over they also have a few packaging options box's overnight bags etc.
  19. I have a Scicon Aerotech box. Got the box off Bike Hub it had a crack at the bottom but was repaired buy a kit car manufacturer can let it go around R2500 if interested. The Scicon is TSA approved size so it can go with normal luggage and not shipped off to oversized.
  20. Yes PUDO is a good option for the small stuff and the Courier Guy kiosk's are quick and easy and convint.
  21. I find that i use Courier Guy more oftern now days. Postnet is a hassle for R99 now R110 you need to drive and drop. Courier Guy for the same money will collect and deliver next day to door. Convince with loading money on your Courier Guy account and logging a collection no running around. And yes i find more and more people expecting you to jump and going as far as just not paying shipping or insisting you cover half.
  22. Awesome news i hope he is ok.
  23. Does anyone have an update or info on this. Is he still missing? Snip: This is Alan Broderick, he went missing yesterday in Hakkerville while cycling. If anyone sees him or saws him yesterday cycling between Hakkerville and Plettenberg bay, please contact the Plettenberg bay Police department as soon as possible. PLEASE
  24. Found this post on one of the cycling pages. Snip: Please help! Cyclist Alan Broderick went missing yesterday. Description: 1,9 meters, 92 kg, 58 years old and bald Wearing cycling shoes, orange top and black shorts, black helmet & sunglasses and a black and blue Giant branded mountain bike Last seen Saturday, 3 December around 11:30. Alan’s wife dropped him off at the Diepwalle hut outside Concordia. His planned cycle route was through the forest back to Plettenberg Bay on N2 via the Petrus se Brand area. He was expected back around 2pm in Plettenberg Bay. Knysna Police station have coordinated search and rescue teams with the help of the canine unit and drones. Volunteers are helping, walking all the cycling paths. The Petrus Se brand trail has been combed from every angle. Searching the Buffels Nek, Kransebos & Harkerville areas now. Alan Connely and his team of volunteers have put up a poster of Alan at the Sasol garage by Kranshoek, so his face is out there. Sanparks on the N2 are aware Alan is missing. The problem is the size of the area. If anyone can help join the search teams, please come through to Diepwalle. We appeal to anyone cycling or hiking between Harkerville, the Garden of Eden & Diepwalle to please keep a look out for Alan. He has been missing for more than 24 hours. His family need your help please. Anyone with information, please call Gail 083-565-0461 or Lara 081-029-0229. Please keep trying if you can’t get through, there is very little signal in the forest.
  25. I see you are posting for a friend did he send the photos to you over Whatsapp. Try upload origanal photos. Whatsapp reduces the quality a 4mb photo over Whatsapp ends up around 60kb odd.
