  1. The weight depends on whether you are listening to heavy metal or light classical.
  2. I'm off to go and pre register for the Tygerberg MTB Club funride and will be listening to ride your bicycle Queen in the car on my way there.I will not impede on anyone.Lekker Friday 13th all.
  3. I'm referring to MTB when saying of being aware of what is behind you.Imagine ST and someone stops dead in front just when the ST starts to flow as he/she is busy shuffling the clicker to get to another song and he/she has to stop to do this. This happened on a race in Stellenbosch and the ST looked like the N1 in the afternoon with someone doing 80 in the right lane.By all means tell the oke to p off if there is more than enough space. For all I care you can have a symphony orchestra with you as long as it does not impede on the other riders.
  4. Apart from not being aware of what is coming from behind I also think that it takes away from the idea of MTB ie the wind through the helmet, being in touch with the environment etc.Ipods and spinning classes might make sense, but I fail to see why while on a MTB especially during races.
  5. Do hilcrest after a loop in majik forrest via the downpath at poplars.Big thumbs up to adrian and the guys of the club for bringing this to life. After cycling for 10 years in magic forrest it is great to have new paths on my doorstep.Lekker to be a member of Tygerberg MTB Club.
  6. I use a Poploc. The only problem ever encountered was when some of my GU fell onto the release button and because of the stickiness, the release did not want to work correctly. If the fork was locked you could not get the release knoppie to come out as it got stuck. It was my own fault and not the product though.I therefore suggest that you handle your sticky stuff with the hand not near the Poploc.
  7. it was not me , but i wont do it again.good for you.i also do the same with the granny gear.reteid2009-09-03 04:49:19
  8. first check that it does fit.I had a trek with v brakes and the carrier fitted perfectly. It however does not fit on either my raleigh or mongoose ,both which have discs. As to the sleeping yes,but untill then they do a lot to improve bike handling skills with sudden movements to a side.Hope you get sorted.
  9. thankx for the feedback.this is the reason why the hub is a cool and helpfull site.
  10. I entered ladysmith cheese seweweekspoort 80 km mtb event.Do I need any spesific traing to survive.I normally sort of end in the back 1/3 of the field in races like knysna 50 /stellenbosch 42.I'm getting scared of the distance.
  11. i suggest you have a look at the website and as to the benefits decide for yourself
  12. I have entered Ladysmith cheese 80 km and need to know if any special training/additional training should be done.Currently doing 4 times per week 60-90 min per ride with a 4 hour long ride on tar over weekends if not riding in a race.I coped fine with Stellenbosch challenge/die burger 42 and Knysna 50km.Any ideas?
