  1. Haha. I've seen them compared with muzzles or gags as the perfect symbol of this age.
  2. Every response is welcome. As are my counter responses.
  3. I really don't see how it is much different. I'd argue what my friend and I did was in fact very low risk in comparison to many other "legal" activities. And it came after 2 months of very little social contact. Hardly an every day thing what we did. Perhaps people are upset that I was brazen about admitting it.
  4. haha admittedly I had had a couple of glasses of red wine. But it's true I don't feel ashamed or whatever I am supposed to feel about it.
  5. No, because there was only two of us. Hardly the Crime of the Century.
  6. Sweden is doing just fine. Its deaths per million of population are lower than Britain, Italy, Spain, France, Belgium, Netherlands - and it is well on the way to herd immunity. Check out Professor Johan Giesecke. He can explain it better than me.
  7. Well Sweden is doing that, if that's what you mean. But I can post links from American, German, British, Israeli (and South African) infectious diseases experts who say the same thing.
  8. The most sensible epidemiologists, virologists plus immunologists I've read say the best way through this epidemic is for the young and healthy to spread it - as has always been the case with new viruses. That way herd immunity can be achieved reasonably quickly. Rather try to isolate the elderly and vulnerable as best you can, and let 95% of others get on with life. This reckless new experiment with economy crushing, life destroying lockdowns is going to cause serious problems for years to come. And 60-70% of us will still get the virus.
  9. I think you guys have things a bit out of proportion.
  10. You have a point. But seriously, look around on the morning rides. I've seen groups of riders chatting away mask-less, and countless other actions that are way more likely to spread covid than me and one friend having a braai last night. I'm pretty good at the hygiene and mask wearing for the most part. Definitely try to keep my distance at the supermarkets, etc.
  11. I know. I was told that over on the coronavirus thread. But after 2 months I thought 'what the hell'. I would say chances we spread the virus last night were vanishingly small. Pick n Pay far more dangerous.
  12. Had some wine. He lives pretty close by and I was back on foot by 8pm.
  13. I went to a friend for a braai last night. Felt very liberating after 2 months of house arrest.
  14. End the lockdown and bring on the over hyped virus. It's time to face it and manage it. We need to stop hiding away from this over hyped, exaggerated threat. Most of the country is not socially distancing anyway - they are thronging together in thousands, begging for food parcels. 80,000 Britons died in the flu season of 68/69. They did not lockdown and the country carried on as normal. We have scared and incompetent children for politicians these days.
  15. In my opinion, people's anger should be directed at this totalitarian, corrupt, idiotic and petty government - not at people on Strava bending the silly rules to ride a few km's further. Something that is doing no harm. People are understandably fed up with this $%*t now. Many have had their jobs and income and most freedoms taken away - and are just expected to continue as obedient little sheep.
  16. It's all such a load of nonsense. Just allow people to exercise outside in their own hours. Then you won't have this sort of overcrowding. Their idiotic new laws dumped everyone out on the promenade at the exact same time. At the minimum have a 4pm to 7pm exercise slot as well.
  17. I don't think you will find that many runners or cyclists are pointing fingers. In fact I would bet almost all of them have zero problem with people surfing.
  18. They can still ride e-bikes. But does it have to be in a race?
  19. Sincerely hope the group intervals go back to 2 minutes next year. 1 minute is just nuts. Bunches got way too big and dangerous.
  20. There are a few of these. One guy from 5E came 24th overall with 2:31.
  21. I see in the results some guy from 5E came 24th overall with a time of 2:31. Seems a bit unlikely.

    Why?

Most people selling on the Classifieds are dreamers. Somehow they think their second hand %&$@ is worth as much (or even more) than it can be bought for new.
