  2. lol, that is the Maxidoor of a friend of mine. This is what he had to say; "Sit daai pic op die forum en se sommer dat hulle my nie terugbetaal het nie. hulle se mos hulle sal hom terugkoop as iemand deur hom breek. Trelli sal seker dieselle k*k he. n staal blok so 1m duk is seker die beste maar dan sal hulle die muur afbreek"
  3. Like the saying goes; "As hulle wil in, sal hulle in"
  4. Mother fluffers I wish we could have undercover Po riding around posing as vulnerable cyclists... Just waiting, with gun, cuffs and badge ready for these rampokkers! We need a Hero!!! Cycleman!?! where are you! What do these guys do with the jacked bikes? Surely they can't sell them back to cyclists? Surely a cyclist being offered a Giant Anthem for R500 from a dodgy looking individual will have the common sense not to support crime!!!
  5. "diving over a cliff into a steam" a steam... thats hardcore bru. what made this "steam"? also have a look at the last sentence... "reduce muscle fatigue and cramping and after events" That last "and" looks dodgeMaxUmis2009-10-01 01:54:16
  6. 8 pages of people misunderstanding each other... Are cyclists allowed on public roads? yes Do cyclists put their lives in mortal danger by using public roads? yes Does Big H have the right to warn fellow cyclist that they are taking a big risk by riding outside of the yellow line? yes Watching fellow hubbers launch personal attacks on each other even though they actually agree on a point: priceless. It's all just lost in cultural translation. A typical boer would say: "gee pad uit die pad uit of ek donner vandag nog vir jou" Translation: "Please move out of the road, I am concerned for your safety" What qualifies me to make this translation? I am a boertjie; just without the 2 tone shirt and pumpkins under my arms and the Afrikaans accent when speaking English.
  7. I used my cleats on the MTB for the first time this weekend. Fell over twice. Once in front of some spectators that made way for me to go through.
  8. Don't know if anyone has run the numbers... This is what I found for myself @ 84kg... 84kg on 170mm will generate 140 newton meter torque 84kg on 175mm will generate 144.2 newton meter torque that's 3% more torque on the longer crank arm...
  9. They make a big difference. Much less rolling resistance than mtb tyres.
  10. The Pretender - Foo Fighters No chance you'll go slow with this blaring in your ears.
  11. I couldn't agree more. I blame an utter disregard for other people and their lives for this phenomenon. It's found in mentalities across the globe, but I have to regrettably say that the South African mentality is probably one of the worst ones in the world. We have that "The only person that matters is ME" or "F-you, I'm right you're wrong" attitude. It's sad that sign posts and road marking on our roads are for decoration only. Speed limits are for dumb people. Filing into one lane, where the road goes from 2 to 1 lane, before absolutely necessary is for dumb people who are making space for you to race past and squeeze in further up the road. Filling stations on a corner are there to use as a slipway when the light is red. Islands on big busy roads ARE the perfect place to stop your taxi. Dang, now I've worked myself up!!! Ek is nou so moerig ek eet sommer 'n Paai!
  12. The album is phenomenal. Got to love Rise Against
  13. Savior - Rise against
  14. Yea, fountains is a lot of fun. However it caught me off guard, because my GF and I stumbled across it quite by accident, looking for a nice chilled route I've been riding at Groenkloof with the GF once a week for just over a month now and had my first go at a 16km route on my own on friday (please don't tell her that I say she's slowing me down). Did that in 1 hour flat. I'm sure most of you are giggling up your sleeves, but I'm chuffed. Anyway, back to the point; When I got back to my car after the hour, I felt good... almost like I was only warmed up now! So next time, I?ll go warm up at fountains and then see what time I do on the 16km Groenkloof route
