  1. Decided to upgrade my v12s. These are very nice. Any tips on setting up the pins?
  2. Healthy gear is 12 months, device booster is 24 and the bicycle 1 is 36. Songeat is up to R500 back once off and 130 odd back per month, device is up to 1k back and like 60 whatever back each month. And yeah sure, it can be considered a lot of effort, but makes ur goals 4 weeks in a row over 3 of 12 months and you break even. These systems howber, while designed to motivate the seditary, only really work for the active.
  3. I found it pretty damned good, was tough and I was most definitely not expecting all that technical. If I have any complaint it would be that the route was soo technical (maybe not for you more exp peeps) that I was in this amazing/stunning area and I have very little idea of what it all looks like as I had to be almost hyper focused on the route that kept changing terrains. I would still most certainly do it again, it took me longer than I had expected, just shy of 5 hours, but I need to have a chat with my doc as there is something I am clearly doing differently around races that is messing with my HR. Had the same trouble at Overgaauw where my HR was spiking near 180 on pretty much every climb at which point I get dizzy and light-headed, so when I saw that happening inside like the first KM already, I took it real easy. Naturally a climb pushes it up, but on my fun rides I can do a 500m 30% climb and maybe hit 165/170 but with my last 2 races we talking like 4/5 pedals and im going from 140 to 170. Anyway, great day out, right now I super need a nap but am too wide awake to fall asleep. lol
  4. Lol, yeah I have an aunt coming down from UK, landing the day before my birthday, so I had a few from me to mes shipped to her place. [emoji23] They look like the only ones that could be more comfy for me than the odi rogue.
  5. Where u get those, I oreded mine from crc
  6. Yeah, kind of a timing thing, there ergins look good for long rides, like K2c, so giving em a try and been wanting the lizard skins for a while. With dead grips and a race next weekend, waiting was not an ideal idea.
  7. Yep, thick and soft.
  8. My old grips have been feeling a bit dead, so grabbed a pair of deathgrip to try out, seeing as soo many seem to like em. First ride was today and pretty good, also have a set of lizard skins Northshore and ergon ga3s coming in my aunts case next month. I may soon have too many grips for the 1 bike I own. [emoji23]
  9. Cancelation is 40% of the remaining contract with virgin, which is subsidised by discovery, therefor its most likely that you will be paying 40% of the regular fee, forfeiting the vitality benefits.
  10. It was a lot more "fair" when it first came out, but it also had the side-effect of being too easy, I had my 45k points by the 3rd of feb when they came up with the new points system, a 2 hours run was worth like 3k
  11. It's also gonna be made more tricky or at least less conveneient this year as they now require a min 30 min at the gym for points, still no word on how they tracking that, but once it's in u won't be able to turnstile the gym.
  12. Ultimately, if you think about it, parkrun is aimed at the starters, the sedatary, not the active. You, you can get loads of points easily, but for those of us whom are active, the points are a side effect of our lives, I would do the running, cycling and swimming just as much without discovery, I'd still have bought the fennix, the external hr strap, the mountain bike, running shoes, triathlon suite, all of it had I not been with discovery. Being with discovery means I get rewarded and save on doing what I would have done either way. So yes, it is kinda crap that a 5k walk means as much as a 75k ride, but personally I'd rather do the 75k ride than the 5k walk. I seldom do parkrun, they my backup for if I get sick or something because starting a run at 8am is farking retarded 9 months of the year, it's too damned hot for me. Saturday I can be out on my ride as early as 530, there are very, very few days we're I would even think about starting something as late as 8am.
  13. What 3hr 60% goal? But yes, in my exp garmin sends over active time avg hr
  14. Only 1 account per policy, you can do booster payouts to benificiary accounts.
  15. Never ordered the rsil, just the bag
  16. Their website. on-lynecomponents.com/collections
  17. Just arrived... Too tired from a long work day to do anything with them, although that lyne bag only comes with screws to mount on the rail and not the straps like in a few shots. Will see... Did find the shipping a bit odd, got a nice hard cardboard tube when I ordered my alu bar, but the carbon on comes in bubble wrap with a bit of cardboard on 1 side, in a plastic bag. Would think carbon would get the better treatment.
  18. Not from this thread, there are also a decent amount of variables when you factor in bottle sizes. I saw in 1 pic the bottle had barely a few mm gap from the top tube and that's only a partial right access cage, u will still need to pull the bottle up first. Its a nice idea for those who really don't want to carry even a small pack and are willing to apparently risk damaging bolts/frame. I do think for many, the cost/value/risk analysis may more often then not tip towards not buying it. I may buy just that tool bag as I have multiple packs so would be nice to have 1 less thing to potentially forget.
  19. I feel like the holes in a frame are nowhere near that weak, I think they more holes than purpose drilled and fine tuned towards the variable weight of a bottle of water and the variable weight of the cage holding said bottle. I also assume lyne would have considered this. Edit: Also just remembered, syncros makes a bottle cage with mutli tool included, that thing without a bottle is already over 800g,a nice sized bottle filled with water will easily take that near the 2kg mark.
  20. I love my repack, got in 2l of water, essential tools and phone in a nice out of the way bum bag. Water bottle cage is for the tailwind.
  21. Thought 2 loops of Helderberg Farm would be a good idea. Would have been a much better one had I taken tailwind instead of testing out 32gi. It was a good Morning, but even the reserve tanks run out of fumes.
  22. I want the 1 with the toolbox.
