Guys do you know if the eBay mounts are worth considering. They are much cheaper than the K-Edge mounts. Also do you know if anyone is selling the cheaper aluminum mounts here in SA?

I have a 60km entry that I would like to swop for 2 x 15km entries. I want to do the race with my daugther.

Damn and here I thought we were talking about doing a MTB race abroad. Nevertheless I think you are trying to convince yourself that you can go abroad for cheaper. I personally don’t think you will get that right but good luck to you. The numbers you quoted covers the bare minimum and that is not reality. I've been there but I would like to hear from you when you get back. Enjoy yourself. If I do something I do it because I want to and can afford to. I don’t bang on about if it is worth the cost because it almost always is not.

And the race entry fee?

I somehow recall a shiny black and red saddle. Mainly black but with some red.

Was there perhaps some red color in the saddle as well. Mainly black with some red as well?

I have no idea if it was your bike or what make it was but something just did not look right

I saw a guy coming down Durban Rd this am when I was on my way to work. Something did not look right so I decided to follow the guy but I got stuck in traffic and lost him :-( Do you have any pics of the bike.

Like with the Argus MTB I really wish they would split the routes across 2 days. That way I can do the 15 km ride with my daughter and do the long race the next day.
