  1. There would need to be more context in the info. Reading it with the limited info it is the following: Fitness has dropped (presume to less riding and training) hasn't felt good on the bike (would be a normal reaction to loss of fitness Resting Heart rate is 5 beats lower than normal This isn't enough info to say this person is over trained. Possibly could be a variable but he has mentioned nothing on his last 4-6 weeks of training volume. Has he been restricting meals to lose weight? if so, no energy and power is a typically a 1st sign. Typically 5 beats difference up or down is not a red flag when looking at variability. More info and you can start to investigate why.
  2. He is a mechanic at the World Tour team, not the development
  3. Have we established yet if the poster actually watched the video vs what he is crying like a brat about in the post?
  4. Looked like he dropped like a lead stone when he wanted to. On his wheel he was doing 300-310W breathing like a 80's porno star mid scene. This would be mid Zone 2 for Remco.
  5. Im sure he will get a win at a smaller race but I can't see it at the Tour for example. the level is just too high and the teams are so organised.
  6. I can't see him winning a Tour stage here, Mark has to have a 100% dedicated lead out train and Astana do not have that. Cees coming across yes, but will he do the job as expected, will Mark trust him and its not about 1 man. I was wrong about him coming to Astana but it was based on their team and focus and riders currently there. I may be wrong again and I do like to be proved wrong.
  7. Top level Vets are more than competitive in WP Elite category. Will also more than likely tactically out ride the youngsters also
  8. 90% of weight loss / gain and management is what you put in your mouth. Diet plan and Nutritional plan are 2 different things.
  9. Hahaha, fair but there is no contract as of yet from my understanding. I need to hold onto this
  10. Alan is part of Cannondale MTB XC he has no road experience outside of Cape Town. To ride in this development team is good, he will learn the ropes and understand more about what road racing is about. He may succeed and adapt or he may not. He will do from my understanding selected races and still be focused on the XC. Valgren is a great mentor to younger riders, he is a great human and has a wealth of experience.
  11. its the hub, where else do you get this info from? Thank you though appreciate it.
  12. If can goes to the Tour it is with a none GC focused team so this removes the 1st 6 top placed WT teams
  13. More chance of López coming back on Thursday
  14. If they have the online store are they not advertising products and shipping direct from wholesaler or to the shop once paid and ordered for? I can’t see a wholesaler being their warehouse so they must selling online, payment made, getting delivery and then sending to purchaser?
  15. What amazes me the most is how this clown thought this would be a believable performance. Some time back I was asked to look at data and give my analysis on riders performances when the whole zwift racing became a big thing; this guy popped up, my analysis was there was no way it was legit and he would never be able to produce the numbers pushing out. I got pretty heavily abused when I was vocal about it and some of his zwift mates chimed how it’s all legit and and. fast forward to today https://www.dcrainmaker.com/2022/12/zwift-uci-cheating-astounding-championship-qualifier.html https://toyotacryordt.team/disciplinary/ ZwiftPerformanceVerificationDecision-2022-02-Hoole.pdf
  16. Cav needs a proper lead out train to win, hence his return to winning with QS. they have probably the best lead out train around. Look at all Cavs dominance it came from teams fully dedicated to his lead out. Highroad / QS / When Renshaw was around and Cav had form. This means any team he goes to needs to deliver this for him and means that going to the tour they only going really for the potential of a sprint stage win.
  17. There are sometimes a few factors that lead to this cross but there is a media release 1 Jan about Victor that adds more context to the move.
  18. QS don't have a Tour winning team (yet) I believe that Remco can with all things being equal, win the Tour but it's not just man alone. The Tour is the Tour, it's different, it's nothing like any of the other Grand Tours. It's not just the GC rider, you need a complete team with you. I see 2 scenarios playing out in 2023 for Remco and QS going into 2024 onwards: 1: Good: QS go on a buying spree and buy a Tour winning team that can support Remco. Bad: Buying a Tour winning team means this detracts from their Classics - QS is a Belgium team that has been fully and completely focused with great success on the Classics. Personally I am not sure Pat will go this route. I actually can't see this happening in full. 2: Good & Bad: QS don't go on the buying spree and if Remo's goals are now to win more GT's and The Tour, Ineos buys out Remo's contract. Pat lets go of 1 rider and banks a significant amount of money and hires another big name to move over with change to spare. Ineos are under a lot of pressure to win the Tour again, the ramblings and talk are there when you speak to people and they have a Tour winning support team but not a GC winner. This is probably the best played out if ambitions and support differ in the QS camp.
