  1. 1 1/8" refers to the size....you also get 1", 1 1/4" and 1 1/2" 'Internal headset' refers to the type of headset. It sits inside the headtube out of view as opposed to external headsets that have cups that are visible above and below the headtube
  2. What about adding freewheel bearings...?
  3. Correct
  4. For a girl Vlymskerp! Thanks (allthough I know she'll cut me down to size momentarily) Haha... I'm the girl Minty? All of you girls need extra bright lights to light your path... bet you none of you would have the b@lls to do a night race with my 5 LED CatEye Bunch of Nancy's AAAACCtually....the last nightride I did followed a twisty, singletrack for about 12km. And the losers with their big lights made me lead....equipped with nothing but a Petzl XP....yes....single LED!!!! And I dropped them several times! Did go home with a headache from concentrating and focussing so damn much to try and read the trail. Nothing like a coupla close calls to keep the reflexes sharp! NANCY!
  5. For a girl Vlymskerp! Thanks (allthough I know she'll cut me down to size momentarily)

  9. This is a promo clip for the '07 Transition Bottlerocket filmed in an area known as Woodlot somewhere in BC, Canada. Classic 'North Shore' type trail.....I got out the wrong side of bed but stumbling upon this made me smile. Enjoy!
  10. To big for you Minty 60 c to c Hey....I was recently told I have freakishly long legs. Before you guys run away with that one she did also say that they were 'lovely' I think I ride a 58 so I can probably make that work....except I'm in the middle of a self-imposed spending-freeze!
  11. You selling or showing off...? Size? Price?
  12. ja
  13. tsk tsk
  14. It's seriously not as bad as I expected. Few pricks from when they injected and that was the worst. Took two pain killers last night before going to bed and this morning nothing. Hurts when I move it around but it's probably not too bad cos it's not really that deep. The ring just caught me on the ball of the ankle and basically peeled it....yummy mental pics those, eh? The nurse was unfortunately not a hottie. Way to old for that....but she was very friendly. So no HR....no reason for that type of playing! You sicko!
  15. Well....I only have pics of it before they started cleaning. At one point the nurse and doc left the room so I sat up to take a pic when the nurse walked in and siad "Los nou uit die ding!" Seeing as they were armed with all sorts of scary tools and were about to use them on me I decided not to argue! Phone pics so obviously the quality's not great....my girlfriend refused to let me take the digital in with me!
  16. First time in 16 years of mountain biking. Obviously have had many grazes and roasties, but this is the first time it's been proper drawing of blood. Had a stupid little stack while riding around Rhodes Mem in the fading light. Lost my balance while riding a rutted piece of singletrack, hit the brakes and slowed down but I eventually keeled over just as I was coming to a stop. As I fell over to the left I could feel my ankle grinding against something. Got off and looked down and it seemed like I just shaved some skin off as all I saw was a white mark. Closer inspection showed that the white mark was actually part of my ankle bone. Didn't think a blunt chainring could make such a clean cut. 7 stitches later it's all sorted....allthough walking is slightly uncomfortable. So....who want's to see the pictures...?
  17. This I don't agree with AT ALL. Well Mints' date=' from what BG tells me, you shouldn't be riding an SS then [/quote']
  18. No doubt that's part of the appeal. As SARA said once....you think you never think about your gears' date=' but you do. You only realize that once you ride one. This I don't agree with AT ALL. I look forward to having a SS that's the correct size and I see no reason why it can't be used on longer distance events like Knysna or K2C. It really is more fun than my 5inch travel trail bike. It's just a completely different dynamic. It's much more challenging, not just in terms of muscling it uphill, but things like maintaining momentum up and downhill over obstacles and such. Love the saying I read on a website this week regarding single speeding....."always the wrong gear" I'm completely hooked!
  19. I think holy roller should get a promotion Is 'GOD' taken....?
  20. Awesome stuff...the most fun you can have on a bicycle Colonel....just try it
