  1. Like Iwan said, he was living Ferrari... but over there, once the big bozz criticises publicly, you know what's coming. But it will be interesting how they will restructure. The guy coming in, with the record they have over the last couple of years, must have cahunas made of some metal melted on Mars. Because he will HAVE to produce - and it's debatable whether he'll be able to negotiate sufficient time to do things his way... Need I mention... I chatted to a buddy a couple of years ago. Told him at that stage that if Todt, Brawn and co leaves and the structure and discipline they brought in aren't maintained and it went back to the Italian way of running the show (which it hasn't even completely done) Ferrari will most likely be up the creek again in the not-too-distant (then) future.
  2. Jeepers, you okes are really holding a grudge against Nico - for one (not every weekend) mistake?! Stupid move, it happened, many others have done far worse - and much worse have happenned down the field in almost every race. Blasted out of proportion because it was the two leading cars. Oh well... Great quali and race by Lewis. Have to agree that it was most likely between Bottas and Ricciardo for driver of the day. Don't understand RB's call on Vettel. Previously Monza was always won by the guy who pitted last (when everybody was running same tyres - as was pretty much the case here, since everybody was using same tyres strategy). How on earth they thought it was a good idea to bring him in numerous laps earlier than the rest, I will never comprehend. Ricciardo was on a great strategy, if you wanted to go "different".
  3. Search, I presume you were involved in the organising... Thanks a stack! It was the most fun event I've ever attended. Trails and vibe - unbeatable. And it was awesome to ride some familiar sections of the trails in reverse! I will be back next year! (and this coming from a guy who started jogging 2 months ago at most and was petrified by the idea of the trail run...) My only bummer is it seems my transponder did not register properly, but will take that up with the Trailtag guys during the course of the day...
  4. You're obviously forgetting (or choosing to!) 2007, where they should have strolled to the title and Hamster and Alonso kept tripping up each other so badly that Kimi snuck it... Double points is... oh wait, I'll get a warning... I'm not a fan.
  5. Oh please.... NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
  6. Haha, if it must... since it's a Rottie, the first thing that popped into my mind was (One does not simply walk into) Mordor... but that does not work well for calling and so on... does not roll of the tongue nicely. Minion works better in that aspect - and will work well as a girl name, plus the irony works for me (like I said, it's a very personal thing!) and it's quite "current" - and will be popular with the kid(s). I got this site to give you a heck of a list of names. (http://www.mans-best-friend.org.uk/dog-puppies-names-dictionary-m.htm) But really, it's so personal... We have a food-ish trend, starting when my wife called her first lab Fudge. Which was followed by Cheddar... then Taz, which is an exeption, but he kept chasing his tail as a puppy from day one. The one we lost a couple of weeks ago was Nugget - but that is incidental food, he was named because of his colour. And the remaining Ridgeback is Kahlua, back to the food-influence. But it's fun when they actually choose names based on something else than letters. My very first own dog was from a litter where the breeder decided on using gem names! And they were so well studied that they all got very apt names by the time they left for their owners. Good luck - it's a fun exercise!
  7. Wez, have to agree. Honda will very likely have learnt (you'd have guessed) from their previous effort that went belly-up in a spectacular way and would have done extensive research before re-entering. There's been too much talk about Alonso and McLaren for that to be completely empty talk. But that would really leave Ferrari up sheet creek.
  8. Both stunning dogs! Super chilled... Dog names are such a personal thing, I'm not even going to venture into possibilities.
  9. Nosy Nellie?
  10. Now that most of the smoke has died down... my initial thought was "Freakin' eedjit... next lap he'd have DRS (I think somebody else also mentioned this here) and it's a clean overtake" I am not a Hamilton fan. And I don't think it was deliberately "causing an accident". It was just stupid driving on Nico's part. Magnussen pulled much "stronger" moves on Alonso and Button and they wisely avoided the incidents. I also think it's media hype and ego's blowing this out of proportion. Well done Ricciardo! Beaut of a drive, kept his *cough* nose clean, did what was required... and shocked a lot of people with what the Renault engine actually can do! Well, it was coupled with a bit more skinny wings, but hey, it did the job. (Smacks of Gilles in Spain -I think- many many years ago!) Hope Kimi can start putting some more impressive rides in from now.
  11. Brilliant! Congrats...
  12. Jaaaa... but take too much salt tabs and cramping will be the last thing on your mind... Test the volume with your ehhrrr stomach compatibility first!
  13. My day to be corrected, it seems! Wow, awesome save! Love that last shot showing the damage to the leathers.
  14. That front wheel angle looks ominous...as if this 68 degrees did not end well...(?)
  15. Haaahahaha! Yeah... well... left the door open for that one! Maybe my memory is not as good as it should have been.
  16. Holding my breath... literally! My daughter has a bad (viral) stomach bug . Urgh...
  17. Guess the new group taking over the team had no intention of getting Honda powerplants, then...! (Said in jest, I know they're Renault engined next year...) Like the guy, one of the few that actually tried overtaking when it was near impossible some years ago. And I seem to remember him as a fairly good driver in the wet... Maybe they were just scared of (in jest again) the repair bill if Kamui played skittles from the back of the grid into La Source!
  18. On the waiting list for a chocolate lab, we did not want to get another black one. Well, I don't mind but it's too close to home for the girls. Kahlua is missing her buddy, though... Despite getting even more attention from us than previously! You can see she's hyper excited when I greet her at the end of the work day.
  19. Get the Spez again! I wondered about getting something different after my Spez's gave up the ghost. Fitted a lot... makes, models and sizes... went to Spez shop, fitted the same number of the same model, looking way different now (Comp MTB, FWIW). Fit great. Went for a ride (several now) and it felt like old friends from the first pedalstroke. Nothing pressing anywhere, they just fit and felt exactly like the old pair.
  20. Never mind, I'm IN! Will be the one walking a LOT during the run. Motivated by my W2W partner... I suspect he's secretly looking for a new partner and want me to die so he can get one without offending me...
  21. Apparently this boytjie is seriously skilled, heard him being talked up a lot over the last while. Agreed, that is very young! Hope he has more success than his old man...
  22. Search - any comments on the run section? It look grueling for somebody just started off running... Contemplating it but that climbing (of the run!) looks daunting.
  23. ..and then duck into the trails, that's where the real fun starts! BUT, I'd advise to take somebody familiar with the trails with the first time you attempt it to guide on which should be rideable and which will be a bit hectic. Nothing more demoralising than having to walk half the trail. Good on you both, get out there, learn and grow your abilities.
  24. At least I can "talk about it" now... After a setback a while ago Nugget was much improved. But last couple of weeks was a real struggle, in and out of vet and everything, we could hardly get him to eat, even treats. In the end an old heart and cancer in both lungs, very bad, as well as plenty in the abdominal areas won the battle during the week. Even through all of this, he kept his smile and wag in his tail to hide his pain. At least he's now running free at the Rainbow bridge.
  25. Add to the list Look STrack. Zero maintenance other than an occasional quick zap with Q20. And I get out of those quicker and more consistently than I ever did with any Shimano's. And a nice platform to pedal on.
