  1. Just got the surprise of my life. I recently subscribed to Rouvy and was very chaffed they offered a 3 Family member plan under a single Annual Subscription. Total was EUR144 - in affect for 3 people. In the meantime I started doing the needful to get my wife and son ready and over the weekend set up the trainers, built PCs for them (scrap parts) ets etc. Lot of effort but enjoyed it! So I created their Rouvy Accounts and went to Rouvy website to add them to my Family plan. BAM! "We apologise for any inconvenience caused but decided to terminate the Family Plan scheme!". WTF???? So I immediately mailed them asking VERY nicely if they would be willing to do me a huge favour and add them - there was ZERO notification about their intentions!! Nothing! Zilch!! Sorry was the reply - you will have to create 3 x new subscriptions. Do the math......EUR144 x 3. That is EUR432 or 8500Ronds! Are they crazy???!!!! So I am going to cancel my subscription - no ways I am supporting them going forward!!! Checked and FulGaz offers a 2 member family plan. That is $109 for 2. As we are 3 people cycling I am still forced to go $109 x 2. That is $220 - still expensive but a LOT LESS than Rouvy. I am very disappointed in them!
  2. As the title says..... I tried rouvy running some time ago and then recently I decided to go into it again but couldn't find the running option. I tried checking their website and it says nothing about running. Even tried googling it and it seems like it never existed... Did anyone else ever use rouvy running? Does anyone know what happened to it?
  3. Good morning Hubland, One more sleep until Friday, yay! I've always been interested in riding real routes indoor. Yeah sure, call me lame, call me whatever you like, but I think it's a pretty useful training tool. I don't live anywhere near CPT, but what if I want to ride up Chappies? Anyway, I've heard of software called Rouvy where, naturally, for a fee you can sign up and it gives you the opportunity to do these kinds of rides. Who has tried it before, and does it work? Can I import rides I've done before?
  4. For those that are interested there is a Rouvy group ride tomorrow . (1) Rouvy Group Ride - Misty Cliffs of Africa! | Facebook

  6. I am sure this is a boring question that had been asked before. If “yes” just refer me to some links – thanx. Using a Saris H3.
  7. Suggested start time still to be confirmed 31 March 2020 (Tuesday) 16H30 Race up the Wall (Mur de Huy) 13.6 km Avg Grade 1% Max Grade 24%
  8. Hi there i was wondering has anyone used these two virtual platforms and what would be the pros and cons of the two . Cheers
  9. Hi Hubbers! So I just got Rouvy and the primary use would be to participate in the races on Rouvy AR. Now the AR does not support Ant+ yet and requires Bluetooth. My laptop has Bluetooth and I am able to connect to my trainer, the Tacx Vortex smart. But the issue is that it cannot connect to the trainer as a controllable. As I understand things, it needs that connection in order to use 'erg' mode to simulate hills. In the Rouvy workouts, erg mode works. So I no idea what is going on here, I have a feeling that the Bluetooth compatibility is the issue, but I am not sure. Has anyone else had this issue? Thanks!
  10. I've used Rouvy's route editor to create a new route, using both video and GPS data. However, when I try to upload the route to the Internet, I get the error message "Internet connection error or server failure occurred" and the upload aborts. I have checked that my internet connection is working, and I have tried the upload from two different computers. Has anyone encountered this and know how to overcome the problem?
  11. I should receive my Snap 2 within the next couple of weeks and want to know what other hardware I require. Currently have: Laptop - HP Pavilion i5 Win10 (with built in bluetooth) Suunto Smart sensor heart rate belt Will my Suunto HR belt work or do I need to purchase the Wahoo Tickr Belt? Will the built-in bluetooth on the laptop connect to the Snap2 or do I need to buy a USB Ant+ dongle

  13. Hi all, If anyone is using the Rouvy software (previously Virtual Training - https://rouvy.com/en/) with their Kickr, etc. to train instead of taking their life into their hands, I've added the route for the Tshwane classic 98Km (5 Nov) if you want to give it a bash (I'm trying it tomorrow morning) - search for provulo and you will find all CTCT qualifying routes uploaded.
