Oooh, very nice. Thumbs%20Up If you are looking for a beautiful, rare, hand made in Italy frame, that offers fair value for money, you cant go wrong with the Idol. SA agents are Marvuli.com if I'm not mistaken, sells for R16k, but that is without vat. Garzelli won 2 stages in the 07 Giro on it, so it has some racing cred. Add some of those red Fulcrum racing 0's and you will have a real head turner of a bike.

on dhe down side:

it is not ultra light

"Hand made in Italy" costs more, but is not in necessarily better, than "made in Taiwan" 

 

And look, an Aliente saddle. Who said it's a MTB saddle?

I admire Giant  

 

If I was you, I will investigate all the frames first

- Where is the agent? Overseas or Joburg or Cape Town?

- Weight of frame?

- Price?

- How many years Quarantee?

- Try them out, ask someone who has.

I just got myself one of these (in the Blue/Black colour scheme) and it is Fantastic

REALLY happy with it....

Have only had it for a week or so, so cannot give you a very detailed report on it, but its very comfortable, responsive, etc etc...

Smile well they retail at 19K at westdene

But he offered to match the price

17.5 is actually a good price for the frame
