It freaks me out when i see these morons.... THe problem for me is, if another one of these owes gets killed in my area, my family will seriously want me to stop riding ont the roads. The problems is also with the poor person that hits them,,, their lives are then emotionally in the toilet...

I don't mind if a bus runs them over - it's ME i am worried about, as sharp as I might be. What if I flatten one?

Then I have to feel bad, apologise to the wife, look into his orphaned children's eyes, go to court, plead to manslaughter, all because some prick was too tight, or too stupid to put a few lights on his bike.

Why can't he just go straight to Netcare and hand his organs over without fighting with my bullbar??

You will be out riding at that time so you don't have to worry about hitting them...

Why bother being a police man?

When they get run over by a car/bus/taxi/truck - it wont hurt you, so leave them alone.

Just refer to them as organ donors.

Agreed - but then we are going to have another thread called "Another cyclist killed" and we are all gonna feel bad and send messages of condolence and flame the damn driver for hitting the cyclist - except in these cases it is entirely the fault of the cyclist.

Personally I would rather tell the guy on the bike to use a light and suck up the abuse because maybe, just maybe the guy will think about it and then still be alive tomorrow to wave or not wave at me in the morning depending on whether he is a roadie or a MTB'er (and thats me running for the hills)
