Arkadion Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 So ordered a few bits n bobs from CRC over a week ago, about R4k total, but half of that was shoes and helmet, so I was expecting to pay the huge duty for that ontop of the VAT. Turns out the total to collect at post office was R660 ! I wonder if these customs okes look at the first item they see in the box and base the calculation on that ?!Seems a bit random at times. All I know is it's good to get a freebie now and then
Arkadion Posted March 17, 2011 Author Posted March 17, 2011 Turns out the shoes and helmet were in their own boxes with no discernable pictures or descriptions, wonder if that had anything to do with it? I can suggest buying MET helmets and Northwave shoes, boxes are boring, items are great ! ;D
