No nobody is dumb enough to do that. They knew they were miles ahead of the rest of the field they wouldnt willingly take a chance like that.

I don't buy it.

I suspect Kimi will take this one if he can get past Gross Jan. So will be rooting for hammy to cause havoc from the back and kimi to cause havoc from the front.

lol look at the logic, on used tyres he nearly hit pole, they knew he had at least .4 of aecond in hand, And like i said if you know your going to take a p!ss test you dont go snorting a kg of cocaine before you p!ss.

So no in 300 races they have never come up short with fuel. simple math with a tad of logic

No, it is the issue. Each litre of fuel you carry adds time to your lap.

If you are arguing whether or not an advantage was gained then it is a major issue....but from the FIA investigation's p.o.v. it does not matter, as the rules state that the car has to get back to pits under it's own power with enough fuel to be tested after every practice session (Qualification is deemed a practice session by the rules)

The only exception is force majeur, like Kobayashi whose engine started spewing oil. a mistake in the pits is not force majeur...it's stupidity. The race is not the same classification, although the stewards still want fuel to test. The difference is that the cars do not need to make it back to the pits under own power. The marshals will bring any stray cars back.

Oh, crap!

@SkySportsF1

Awful and very worrying scenes here as smoke billows out of the Williams garage. More news to follow as we get it.

@SkySportsF1

The fire thankfully seems to have been put out. A Force India team member who was helping at the scene is being taken to hospital.
