does anyone know if the specsavers shirts that we have to wear for the ride and the run (if you did the cheapo entry like me) have decent pockets?

I'm not too sure but I would imagine they do as I've seen a couple and they look like normal sleeveless cycle tops

last years tops had two pockets at the back (made by anotomic) - decent size for lots of food :)

Not sure who is making this years tops - could be new balance but not sure...

light west is perfect for the cycle route. Looks like it might get hot but give me heat anyday rather than and easterly wind of any speed :)

I would like to come and support, but have to play some music first in the morning

Does anyone have info as to where the finish is, I keep ending up on the wrong websites, or even just a link to the right one. I would like to see routes so i can plan some vantage points. Maybe drive to the finish and cycle to the spectator points

the finish is at hobie beach. Starts and finishes there. If you can get to hobie you will get to see alot of the action but if its too far you can go to seaview road and watch the cycling from there. But by the time you get there the top guys will be running i think. Including me haha i wish

If you are caught wearing a non Spec-Savers shirt (they use the finishers photo as proof) you become liable for full entry price... and yes - they are very strict about it and Mr Wolff hammers it down our throats at race briefing... rules are rules and these IM officials take no k@k... it just boils down to ethics - you take the discounted entry on the condition you wear the Spec Savers top, if you get DQ'd for being a tjop - you can't blame anyone but yourself.

A guy was seriously wrapped over the knuckles last year for using his cellphone - he used the excuse he was calling his wife to fetch him... Mr Wolff's reply - "how is your wife gona fecth you, there are full road closures - yellow card - five minutes in the penalty tent for you"
