American Classics, How strong are they?

Would a pair of American Classic wheels be strong enough for a 95kg rider on a Morewood Shova. My style of riding could be described, if you are very generous, as trail riding. Maybe a bit more than XC and way less than All Mountain. Max would be 4 ft drops and that's pushing it?

Bos, I was hoping you would say something. Care to elaborate?

I would say that they are more light weight cross country wheels than strong trail wheels.

I dont have a pair, so I am just guessing.

Jy is daai tipe amoreus wat met 'n "J" gespel word as jy daai wiele op 'n Shova sit.

What tyres are planning on going with?

Those wheels dont belong on a shova, it will be like a model smoking a pipe...

I think their weight limit is 85kgs.

That I did not know. Well then I will not even consider them. Thank you.

I wouldn't suggest you ride American Classics - they are very lightweight wheels. I think their weight limit is 85kgs.

Not true! Also, you get XC and All Mountain type. Small weight diff.

Mine are pretty strong - hit a rock hard and with a bit of pace - hard enough to cause half a somersault over the bars and the front rim did not even need truing - I am about 80 odd kgs
