I don't think so Shaun. Brandon mentioned some time ago that the Raleighs are built exclusively for them.

Actually the aer many frames that are in fact from the same moulds but with a slightly different layup.

So the Raliegh may in fact be "Specially built for them" i.e. They order frames from the manufacturer with a Raleigh chuppie on it instead of a De Rosa chuppie.

The resemblance of the frames is too similar to be coincidence.

There are a few compnaies that build bikes for others.

Giant

Cannondale

Litespeed spring to mind but there is a factory in Taiwan (not Giant) and two in China that do the same. The Chinese factory's name also escapes me but they also build composite bits and blobs for the Chinese Aero and Astro Space Industries.

I don;t seem to recall the Italians placing anything in space recently but companies like Ferrari Engineering and Piaggio awerospace are respected globally........I digressed

You can buy either tubes or ready-made frames from Dedacciai.  It is possible that Raleigh does the former and De Rosa the latter.  Using premade tubes is no different to steel manufacturers that buy tubes from Reynolds and build a bike.  Those would still be considered handmade.  Dedacciai makes no claims that their frames are made in Italy so one would presume that they are not.

How about this? Colnago C50

http://img515.imageshack.us/img515/2696/col500rh4.jpg

Finally a real bicycle tha tlooks like a bicycle and not a space ship.

Now look at this. It's a R50k bike and then the owner ran out of money and put on some carbon lookalike bottle cages on. I'm sure you could have gotten real CF ones.
