Now that is an advertisement NOT to buy Sludge. You had 3 punctures on the way back from Kleinmond. Since we know about your punctures, the Sludge clearly does not work

HENK STOP TRYING TO GET CLEVER!

Those were NORMAL TUBES. NO SLUDGE.

I only USE SLUDGE WHEN

RACING.

NEXT.LOL

you have to remove the valve core from the valve (make sure the core doesn't fall into the tube!!!) hold the back of the valve so it doesn't slip in but leave enough gap for the sealant to go in the tube. 2oz Stans sealant bottle screws nicely onto the valve and squeeze into tube

Not all road tubes have removable cores. The ones that do also do cost more.

I ride with Sludge All Terrain in my road bike tubes (Continental removeable core), and during a recent training ride I noticed some pressure loss in the front wheel, however still rideable. Quickly stopped and inflated with a bomb, and within 45 seconds, I was back on the bike. Tube still hard after a week!

You tjop, so you waist our time when you are not using Sludge on the training rides...

and then you make your bike heavier and slower by using it during racing  ;) :P

I have even tried the No Flats road version and it stays at about 3 bar.If you are 65 kilos you may get home but any heavier and you will push :D

It just sprays out like water @ 6bar

I would just like to make one detail clear. The product mentioned in the above post is Joe's No Flats and not NO FLATS tyre sealant, NO FLATS tyre sealant has the trade mark on the name NO FLATS, and should therefore not be confused with Joe's as it is a separate product from a separate company.

Please see attached photo of NO FLATS this is the same product that is now advertised here on the hub

If anyone would like anymore information about my product please check out our website www.noflats.co.za or send me a PM

I have since moved on to other sealants.

The blue is a nice touch so you can see the holes in your tires.

Why on earth did you pick a name so close to another well known product? It will just cause confusion :o

I know this is a late reply but i would like to challenge you on this matter. You bring the sealant that you think will work and i will bring the SLUDGE, the drill and the 6mm spike to make the puncture. just for your interest SLUDGE had 33 podium positions at this years Epic. Just ask yourself the question why did the first two teams achieve the results they got.

I will accept you challenge and bring the sealant of my choice if you bring the tubulars!

I have no doubt that you product should theoretically work in tubeless or tubed mtb or road tires but tubbies .. please.

Our original discussion started in this thread about Tubular tires. Can Tubbies be repaired

I only commented here to give Frail up hill and Jenifer who claims her product can seal tubbies only cares to comment when she feel like it and has to date proven jack.

You are also welcome to submit that video after wiping the sealant from your face :D

Oh, I am having a flashback, is the road sludge yellow?

If yes, I tested it and my conclusion was to never buy it again!

I dont ride with any sealant in my road clinchers or tubbies, that to me just defeats the purpose of getting everything as light as possible and to maximize rolling resistance and then you screw all of that up by adding a sealant

For the tubless mtb tires, different story, you cant go without it!

Can Tubbies be repaired

Sorry Tank Man I am happy to reply I just did not realise that your reply in can tubbies be repaired thread was a serious question. Please see testimonial from one of my clients below on his experience with a Tubbie and in his MTB

Hi Jennifer

Would like to take this opportunity to say thanks for the great product that you guys have. I have been using the sealant in my MTB for about 18months now and can honestly say that it has worked perfectly.

Toward the end of last year I got a few punctures on my road bike, which was very frustrating. So I decided to put NO FLATS in my road tyres, can honestly tell you that is works just as well in a road tyre as in MTB. I did get punctures but never had to stop and change the tube, all that happened was a slight loss of tyre pressure, I run my road wheels at 120psi, the pressure would drop to 80psi and I could continue riding. Because the sealant worked so well in my training wheel I have subsequently put some in my racing tubbies as well. This was a life nfrustration saver, the last time I went up to Nylstroom we went out on a long ride, on which I used my tubbies. About 20km into the ride I picked up a puncture, it was however not necessary to stop as the NO FLATS sealed the hole and I was able to finish the 160km ride without stopping to change the wheel or to inflate the tyre. Upon getting home I checked the pressure to find that it was still 100psi.

This has given me the confidence to use my tubbies more often.

I can highly recommend that any person can use NO Flats in both road and MTB wheels, it will most certainly save much frustration.

Cycling greetings

Christopher Dutton

The above testimonial is from a client from a reputable shop but I do not want to put his personal number here for the world to see. But please feel free to PM me if you would like his number to confirm this testamonial.

I think that your suggestion of testing in a backyard with a hammer and nail is ludicrous. The real test of any sealant is in the field and on the track in normal riding conditions and with normal hazards, I don't know when last I got chased by a guy with a hammer and nail when I was out on a ride( now that clip would make it onto Leon Shusters next video or Whackshead pranks) I will stand by my product but I would not go against the laws of physics by puncturing any tyre that is at 10 bar with a nail. With our product you need to be on your bike as your weight movement and heat all play a part in the sealing process of my sealant.

Our product does not work like any other product in the market in South Africa today

So Tankman if you want a serious answer to a question then don't ask a stupid question.

I agree that it is very confusing for all concerned. We have had the trade mark on No Flats for many years. and since this is not a local product we bound by certain regulations that we run under this trade mark
