I was at the Scout Hall line on Sunday & the first 3 jumps are still fine. 4 is trashed and will need some work, but not too much. It would be cool to clear a lot of the vegetation around the jumps.

The 'Novice' death line is very overgrown.

Yeah, it's been about 2 months since I last hit tha line. It was still very summer-jungley then and the stratch bewteen jumps 3 & 4 had some serious groundcover. 4 was slightly trashed, but still jumpable.

But yeah... I think that line is definitely worth some attention! Remember the friday afternoon sessions!

Lets have a revival Brother Mil!

Hallelujah!

I had a little solo session at DHL on Saturday. My riding buddy flaked, I figured the hobos wouldn't molest me cos I'm not as pretty as I was when I was younger, so I went for it...

here's a little vid of the fun

Ps. Excuse the heavy breathing. Those nice XC chaps you see on the right of the 2nd last jump, came along at the end of my previous run, and wanted to see it again... so I ran up to the top again, cos I couldn't keep them waiting

Nice ... long way to go before I can hit jumps like that!

oh no! don't repost that vid! The V will never let me live it down!

But yeah... those are some good fun trail jumps. And with practice you'll be doing stuff like that in no time!

So now that DHL has completely been taken back by the "locals" thumbdown.gif I want to try and organize a build session at the Scout Hall line.

Come on guys that spots got some major potential and the sessions we had there where pretty gooddevil.gif

So how does Sunday the 04 of November sound for a bit of a build and DJ session?

Mr Christmas Tree and myself hit the scout hall line on saturday. They look run down, but still jump fine.

So yeah, I don't think much work would be needed. Just clear the path a bit some grass between 3 & 4, and some resurfacing.

Where exactly is the Scout Hall line? First ride with my Fireball today, took a long wind along the Spruit from Greenside looking for jumps and the first ones I came across were at Iona road.

The scout hall jumps are at the corner of Grosvenor and The River Rd in Bryanston, next to the scout hall.

Iona rd... aaah! seems you found the Hurlingham line.

As for the Scout Hall line, it's as Noli described.

The jumps themselves... it's a run of 4 gap jumps. medium pace (not as fast as hurlingham or DHL). They're also more "dirt jumpy" than Hurlingham and DHL (steeper lips, shorter gaps). But yeah, a gem on the spruit! Just watch out for jump #3, it has a tendency to land nose heavy.

Just be careful of the left hand jumps. They are not great.

The Right hand ones are pretty nice, and you can pull out easily after each jump.

Yeah, that left table line is sketchy. It seems though that someone has put a big tree stump in front of the first one. Maybe an unknowing vagrant. Maybe the Spruit Fairy himself (doing it for safety purposes)?!
