That is what starts all the *** in the first place. Take it off, soak it in paraffin for a coupla hours. Pump the paraffin in using your two beefy mits. All the *** will come racing out.  Then strip and clean and oil if it aint working smart and going 'whirrrr'.  BTW By The Way Just to keep things clear: 1. The thickest, readily-avaialble oil is gearbox oil. Manual gearbox oil of the 80W90 variety or similar. You'll recognise it by its strong smell. It is NOT the same as AUTOMATIC gearbox oil. My Pedros has after 1 year of use ran out now and I am not going to pay R90 for a small bottle of oil if there is an alternative.
