I'm going to recommend that nobody every buys these tyres. They don't last long, the sidewall tears really easily and they are as slippery as all hell in the wet, or even if it looks a bit overcast. I think that nearly covers my review, any questions are welcome but the answer might be slightly biased, i am just warning you.

I agree, i had the full tubeless version of the x2c dry, called the "Racer". I lost two tires in two months. Very prone to puncture, the rear completely pulled apart after a plug was inserted and after the third plug on the front i called it a day. Using Maxxis crossmark's now without a puncture for 6 months!! And yes they are slippery in the wet.

Hey Rex, if your wear your rain coat under your cycling sweater, and your cycling sweater gets wet,

do you take the raincoat back to that shop and say K@K raincoat..

Please be a bit more intelligent wen posting remarks about tires specifically marked DRY slipping in the wet.

Seems you still old school, taking a knife to a gunfight..

Skrik wakka aseblief boetie, die girlies opie hub gat jou uitmekaar uit ruk.

"Michelin XC DRY are slippery as hell in the wet" Hooooooooooojirrrrreeeeeeeeeee.....

Guys, these are race tyres (short lifespan) designed for very specific applications (dry conditions only).

If you're running them as a general all-round hammer-everything tyre, you're bound to get into trouble.

I had the MUD version, knobblies tore off, rapid wear etc.. I buy whatever is on special tyre wise and just wing it, cannot be bothered with brands etc, but man these were crap, I'll steer well clear of Michelin in the future.

Cause you probably used them as an all purpose tyre, and probably in the dry.

Come on guys, this isn't rocket science. These are a purpose built tyre.

Ive been running the Dry2 tubeless, on two sets. Given good service only changed them when the tread was well worn. Ive had zero sidewall cuts and the gunge sealed the thorns and a hoof nail without problems.

I used them as I seldom go out into the forest when its wet as the ground is red clay and soon it packs so thick onto your tyres that the wheel cannot turn. So for dry road they were fine at at R 135.00 for a superlight a tubeless tyre they were a bargain.

The wife has the XCR dry on her bike and she has zero complaints.

We did a race last weekend which had a muddy section which was alippery as hell on my bike which sports a GEAX front and rear...The crossmarx I had before was also slippery as hell...

Horses for coarses. I chose tyres for dry, dusty, hardpack terrain and try to steer clear of wet muddy races.

No tyre is perfect!

Firstly, mine aren't the racer ones, secondly I do realize that they say dry on them and obviously don't expect them to do well in the wet. The fact that they don't last long and the sidewall tore is inexcusable to be, especially the torn sidewall. If it is a UST tyre the sidewall should last. I know you didn't ask for my opinion but I thought i'd do a general service and warn some people... plus the hub is the perfect place to express your opinion and get taken out for it, even when it is right....

Just remember that most people on the hub are these perfect beings with sun shining out there hind quarters.

I posted a same review in December or early January. So remember that you are posting on a site with a huge base of we don't care what you have to say guys. Just for interest most people have problems with them, go search on Google and you will see we are not the only people who are unhappy about the tyres.

Oh and why did I buy them you might grumble? Because I needed new tyres and I did not do my research on them before hand.

Oh and just remember that some hubbers are their own gods or goddesses or what ever entity they might want to be. and only their view count!

Must be the crapest pair of tires ever owned - HAS NO GRIP  . And while you are cycling (MTBing) you will have the odd mud pudle, strean crossing or early morning dew making the track a little wet.....surely the tires should have been designed for this?

Only consider these tires if you plan to ride in a strait line at 12h00 in the winter on a gravel road
