The Park Tool Bike Repair/Maint manual is available.

My question is, Does it cover most if not all every day service

jobs which can do at home? Has anybody read this yet and can it be advised?

Seems cheaper than lbs at R160 a pop.

Thanks

Very good publication and covers most of the fundamentals. If you need something more thorough i.e. tolerances, clearances, manufacturer specific then look at the Barnett manual.

yup! the Park Tools BBBBR (Big Blue Book of Bicycle Repair) is very useful. I've got the 2nd Edition (which I think is still the latest).

The Park Tools website also has everything that's in the book for those who are wanting to do something specific and can't warrant purchasing a whole book for 1 job (although it won't be a waste of money).

Here's what the 2nd Ed looks like:

Barnett is good, downloadeable from the internet and verrry concise. It is also updated as new technology energes. I suppose there should be a new epsode on the "new technology" of twenty naai-ners.

I am also looking for this book, where can I get good price for it?

I picked one up from Linden Cycles for R230. On CRC they're R216, so it's worth buying locally.
