Could have a crapload of fingerpoint to a crapload of different guys with similar features.The point of circulating the photo is that those who think this guy is the perp in their tale of woe, is to report their cases to the police believing this is the guy, and from there, the cops should do they job and investigate each report so as to define whether it's applicable to the person in custody or not.There's no automatic mass victimisation of the perp just cos he is a allegedly bicycle thief.I say circulate, let those who believe he is the perp go report their experiences as faithfully as they can, then lets hope justice prevails. Witchhunts? this aint salem..but it is a war out there. No time to if-but-and-pussyfoot around. If a lawyer can come forth and explain why it's a bad idea, i'm all eyes..

My concern was about himm having appeared in court. You are not allowed to identify someone before he has appeared in court.

He was taken to Lyttelton SAP and is in police custody. Thanks to Dominic, Niel and everyone else who was involved in catching thiscreature.He is "allegedly" part of the bike jacking syndicate (his admission).Please forward this photo to every cyclist you know and ask them in turnto circulate it as well. Maybe someone will recognize him. These guys haveapparently been getting off at the Irene and Pinedene stations, hence thebike jackings in that area. This guy was caught on the south side ofPinedene station area where the grass is still long. Capricorn Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 (edited) well, photos end up in ppl's inboxes often. for the accusation to stick, they still have to lay a charge, for which then a court appearance will be required, again. Due process will not be disrupted, as every charge has to be verified. Again, idont really see the problem here (but i'm also not law savvy so take with a truckload of sodium chloride)Â i dont htink the image is presented as "this guy stole your bikes, go lay a charge".. the question is, this man is alleged to have committed cycling related crimes, and if you've been a victim of a crime and the perp fits the description in the photo, please visit the local police station and lay a charge".
