Oldy TdF now on 231 Armstrong busy with Mont Ventoux

Must be 2002, Beloki is there, no helmets.

Not the stage where he allowed El Pirata to win.

Thanks for this. Was watching Carte Blanche like half the rest of SA. Its a 3 hour programme on Lance, not just about the TDF. Close Up on ESPN, channel 231. Will be PVR'g the repeat since it started at 18:00.

After that it will be the 1972 GP season, when GP racing was still racing real motorcars.

Emerson Fitipaldi's year. I met him and his brother at Kayalami in the pits. I spent a whole week in the pits prior to the 1977 SA Grand Prix and got to know many of the drivers quite well.

Niki Lauda introduced me to Toblerone chocolate during those few days in the pits. Race had a sad ending though when Tom Pryce died when he hit a marshall crossing the track on the main straight.

I had a VIP ticket to the braai the next day at Kyalami Ranch. It was so disappointing that because of the Tom Pryce accident Jody Scheckter was the only driver that turned up for the braai.

Who watched the 1972 Grand Prix season footage that followed the ESPN program on Armstrong?

Was very fascinating to watch and see all the old names and those that are still around today

And then I was just reading that there is still an open case against Jan the Ginger at CAS. Poor bloke.

CAS - Centre for African Studies - wtf?

Did you watch him being destroyed in the time trail by Armstrong last night?
