Specialized or Scott???

I'm stuck with the choice between these 2 mtb's:

 

Rockhopper Pro

 

AND

 

Scale 50

 

Your opinions would be much appreciated and tell me why you would take either 1

I'd say go with the bike that looks more appealing to you, as you will want to ride a bike that you like more then a bike you sort of like.

 

spec wise just looking quickly they seem to be pretty similar.

I plan on upgrading components/parts later depending on which mtb I take but I want the mtb with the best and lightest frame...

 

So which 1 should it be?

if this is the case them maybe consider an entry level stumpjumper as then you will have a frame worth upgrading the parts on. Not sure what the price difference between a rockhopper and stumpy is so apologies if this isn't a viable option.

I have a rockhopper - was very happy with it, just bought a full suss for the Epic, but did many 24 hour rides (1 day Sani, Baviaans etc on it). Now it sits on my IDT.....
