Hee, Hee, according to the commentator today, Rodriguez and 'Berto used a 29 sprocket at the back today.

I was taking a guess looking at the graph.. that Hill was way way steeper than Kloofnek.. some bits 15 and 23% ! faark..

Anyone ever cycled up Belvue street, thats that steep hill that joins kloofnek from town side @ halfway up.. that is 22%

I RODE IT ONCE.. ON MY 39-25T I KAKKED

no wonder froome was going nowhere, he was just spinning and spiking his heart rate, is that 38 he rode part of the o.symmetric chainring? surely stating 38 is not true.

Maybe a typo?

Just watched the repeat. Love the comment about Froome towards the end: "He doesn't own a white flag."

If it was a typo it's still not a train smash ,it's only around a 0.1 difference.

The Finish: the Puerto de Ancares is hard with 8.1% for 9.5km but as the profile shows, this includes a downhill section after 5km. The road kicks up to 12% with 2km to go and we can imagine riders have this point in mind for attacks. It climbs onwards via several hairpins before a final straight of 320m that rises all the way to the line.

Does anyone think Rodriguez has the strength to do what Cobo did last year, and stay away till the end?

I'm beginning to wonder.....

Purito looking invincible.

Froome Dog losing ground to Valverde.

'Berto still looking for that stage win after a brave effort in the final Kay.

'Berto did everything right, he took control of the race, attacked, opened a good gap on everybody, and only Rodriguez could respond and that incredible kick of his gives him another stage ......... excellent riding by both of them, 'Berto must be wondering how he can neutralize that explosive kick.

Never the less, he put another wedge of time into Froome and Valverde, so, one would think all he has to worry about now is Rodriguez......who I think is looking very strong, he is going to be tough to beat.

Rodriguez seems super solid at the moment.

Contador just seems to lack that extra bit he had 8 or 9 months ago.

I guess the time away from racing has impacted him after all.

Rodriguez looking good for the GC.

I am quite impressed, I must say!

Excellent racing all round. I think I will follow the Giro and Vuelta more closely than the Tour from now on.

Indeed, this is real seat of the pants racing, exciting stuff indeed.

I think 'Berto is a little "race rusty" to coin a Matt Keenan phrase, but his form is there or there about and in my opinion he is still overall, the guy to beat,..... one thing is for sure, he wont give up.
