94.7 MTB Qualifiers

Hi Guys,

 

Just entered the 94.7 MTB Challenge. I am doing the Road as my primary, but decided to give the MTB challenge a go. I am new to MTB'ing and only done one race to date (Nissan trailseeker at Teak trwo weeks ago).

 

What are the best races to do to get a better seeding for the MTB race? Dont want to start at the back....

 

Any advice will be

The Momentum 94.7 Mountain Bike Challenge will seed entrants to ensure that riders of similar strength are grouped together. A variety of events will be used to gather seeding data, including Racetec timed events. Please check back to the website to get further detail on these seeding events.

And...? I saw that. Doesnt help much. Surely it should have the events by now? Its 15 weeks or so away....

Phone organisers then, and please report back. Otherwise enter as soon as possible as they've seeded in the past based on date of entry.

i'm guessing that they will use the saseeding, to put people in batches, but i could be wrong, dont see why they would go and use their own system when there is already one up and running.

well i'd suggest you still contact someone via contact details on the website, because i really dont know if they will use saseeding i've never done any of the 94.7 events, so rather be safe then sorry lol

Dont be to sure that they will use SAS, Racetec have a monopoly on certain races. Why is it that ONLY races timed by Racetec are used for seeding in races such as Argus and 94.7.

maybe they have signed sneaky contracts with the event organizers, forcing them to use them?

Called them three days ago.... still waiting for then to call back. Guess that aint gonna happen

Don't stress about seeding. It's not really a proper mtb race anyway... use it to introduce your 10 year old neice to cycling. Thats what I did.

the only way to do this ride and enjoy it, is on a motorbike, as a marshal.
