nickc Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 I think of it a bit more like this... Sram XX Shimano XTRSram X0 Shimano XTSram X9Shimano SLX Sram X7Shimano Deore Don`t know if you can compare XT to XO. I wonder where SRAM X5 and X3 would fit in?
AndreZA Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Don`t know if you can compare XT to XO. I wonder where SRAM X5 and X3 would fit in? I think he is showing that XX is better then XTR which is better the XO which is better the XT which is better then X9. There is no equal, one is better then the other.
Wonder Woman Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 All I know is SRAM is supposedly better because it has a 1:1 ratio which is easier to fix and work with than Shimano which is a 1:2 ratio. Want any more info ask a Mechanic....LOL
TNT1 Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 I be damned then. Come on, you know you want that Integrated Global Adjustment System on your ATB
rouxtjie Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 I prefer this order Shimano XTRSram XX Sram X0 Shimano XTSram X9Shimano SLX, Sram X7Shimano Deore
The expat cyclist Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Come on, you know you want that Integrated Global Adjustment System on your ATB Only problem is getting my hands on an ATB...
TNT1 Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Only problem is getting my hands on an ATB... that, and finding one of those p o s gruppos
Polo Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 I would say SRAM X5 is on the same level as Deore. Can't really comment on the XTR and X0 stuff, but from my experience I prefer X9 to XT. When XT is nice and clean and lubed it works perfectly, much smoother than SRAM, but as soon as you add a bit of mud and water the SRAM stills functions the way it should, the XT not so much...
