I strained my L upper hamstring zone during a gym session on Sunday in the activity of hamstring curls.

Limping somewhat when I walk.

Would rather not jog now.

Can I still spin gently?

Or rather give my legs a total break?

Head for physio. They'll get you going faster than resting it entirely.

Then I'd recommend Bio to get you back on the bike asap. PM me if you need a physio/Bios details...

The funny part is that both legs had the same training load.

And only the one strained.

The L must be weaker than the R?

That is good to know, if that is how the body works...

The weak spot will most probably be somewhere else in the body. A bio will be able to assess and give strengthening exercises. Good luck! I struggled with a calf strain, and now the bio is busy strengthening my glutes...

Got me a compression sleeve at the pharmacy now.

And taking it easy.

Yikes! Not cool if the body doesn't work properly.

Yip - the nature of sport. <_<

Fascinating how the biomechanics of the body works.

Dont think its anything to do with biomechanics, you could have a chronic tear simply put you pulled a poep string.

If the problem doesn't go away in a few days (by now) get is checked by a sports physio, if its a chronic tear it wont get better by RICE or any other means.

Usualy a nice cross fiction massage or 5 will sort it out chop chop.

Thanx for the tip, Swissvan.

It seems easier already and it is day 2.

And I am cautious as hammie strains are tricky.

Had a grade 2 tear during my life as a runner. It was tough rehab that. Fortunately, did not need crutches.

Thank goodness, RICE worked.

It was a mild strain.

Was back on the carbon horse this morning for a gentle 1 hr spin.

My superpowers are returning nicely.
