a blood sugar spike is exactly what you want when racing. low gi is fkn useless if you start bonking.

Ye, but this stuff is designed to give you sustained energy over long distances so that you don't start bonking. I'm planning to use it for training rides of over 3 hours only.

At the moment I would use Cytomax for racing, but if I take to 32 GI then I'll probably end up using it for the first half of my road races.

actually guys a sugar spike is not what you want when racing because it is short lived and when it does drop you it is below the base and that's when you hit the wall. 32Gi does not dip you below the base and it produces a lower spike with a very long taper but still feeds the muscles totally agree to put the sugar off right to the end. We have had a few ultra marathon records broken on 32Gi and the product has proven to perform under intense racing conditions. This is not a typical low GI drink you have to try it to realise that.

**** - u better tell the pros. thats why coke is a perfect drink for mid ride - because of the sugar spike

I stopped using gells because the sudden drop made me feel like passing out.

@MDW, do you know when mydailysuppliment.co.za will start stocking the chews?

I tend to ride too hard early on when I race. I generally train on water and drinking energy drinks pre-race or near the start of a race, whatever they happen to be, makes my body go nuts. I'll be happy to lose the spike for the first 2 hours and save it for the final push.

@Moegoe they can take the chews from us anytime they just have not ordered any yet I can point you to the nearest chew stockist where do you reside ?all the best M

@Fandacious that's what we advocate agreed save the spike for the push to the finish instead of setting them upfront

Just thought I could order once without having to drive around for the second item. I'll pick some up at The Sweatshop in Dunkeld.

Hi there

Question for you guys energy drinks specialists.

I'm currently using USN EPIC PRO for my marathons (3 to 4 bottles / marathon), like Burry stander, but much slower! I'm quite satisfied with the products although I struggled to finish the last 20km during the last 2 races, probably because I tried to push to much at the beginning...

Any idea if using this miracle 32Gi would improve my performances? Any feedback on USN EPIC PRO product?

Thanks.

I of course cannot comment on any other product, I think though its fair to say that other energy drinks all contains sugar, no matter what the form, they are sugar based. Where we are not. Thats really the differentiator, 32Gi, is low GI endurance, slow releasing, not an overbearing peak, long tapering and is the only drink on the market that does not cause tooth decay.

You need to experiment with a drink to see if it is right for you, from a nutritional point of view, I am against sugar, its my personal and professional stance. You need to see what works for you, our product has shown in testing better performance than multodextrin based products in a test done by the Sports Medicine Institute at the Freiburg University in Germany, we also have had 3 ultra marathon records broken on the product as well, as a 1st,4th,5th, 8th place at Comrades. Lindsay van Aswegen broke her comrades time by over 20 minutes on previous years, Fanie Matshipa did his best time placing 5th in 5:35, we have seen excellent results from all the elite athletes using 32Gi, but unless you know your body intimately and what makes a drink different from one to the next it does not really make measuring a drinks qualities easy, you need to experiment and see what works best for you.

Guys,

Have to give credit where due.

IT WORKS.

Did a 68k mtb today. Were'nt racing, but more for time in the saddle, did it in just over 4hrs, had a bottle of 32GI just before the race, and a second bottle at 2hrs. and 1.5l water. thats it. no energy bars, no gels, nothing. Felt fine after wards. Yes it wasnt race pace, but 4hours on a bike is 4 hours.

Cool part is, no appetite from hell afterwards :) Small lunch, and some coffee now, feeling great!

Hi there,

I've decided to give 32GI a try for two reasons:

1) I felt I was was kind of out of energy during the last ks of my last MTB marathons (although the overall average speed was good). Actually I feel very energetic during the first half of the race, achieving great average speed, then slowing down big time towards the end. Maybe the claimed "sustained energy" of 32GI could help.

2) I've noticed I have put on around 3kgs lately, although I'm training quite hard (but only spinning classes 4 times a week as i have no time for cycling on weekdays) and race marathons every weekend. Can this maybe due to incorrect use/overdose of a high GI energy drink? Maybe 32GI could help?

Now a few questions:

- It looks like 32GI is more suitable for long endurance events. Nevertheless I'm used to drinking some energy drink for spinning classes as I don't feel very energetic when I go to spinning at 6PM and only had a light lunch a few hours before. Could 32GI help me to get energy for the spinning and help weight loss? I was thinking about having half a serving (equals 1 hour of energy, correct?) diluted in a bottle. Should I have it before spinning, during, half before and half during?

- Now, for race purposes, a question about 32GI electrolytes replacement / rehydration properties. I noticed that 32GI contains only half the quantity of sodium/potassium with regards to the energy drinks I've used before. How do i know if this quantity is enough to keep me hydrated correctly for long endurance events (sometimes up to 6 hours). In some cases, do you advice to take hydration complements for a more complete electrolyte replacement?

I've also noticed that 32GI does not contain any of the following minerals present in other energy drinks i have used: magnesium, phosphorous, calcium, chloride....what is it all about? Are these minerals usefull for hydration, or it it some kind of bull**** marketing?

- other question: some of the other energy drink I used contain L-glutamine which is supposed to aid muscular recovery. Can this product can be mixed with 32GI? Can it help and for what king of event? long endurance or muti-stage events?

- my actual energy drink contains peptoPro and I've seen that it can be mixed with 32GI. In what case this product may be used and what are the actual benefits?

- last one: what do you suggest to have during a race, in case you need a "kick" but don't want to alter the 32GI benefits by spiking your blood glucose?

Well, I know it's a lot of questions but I would appreciate detailed answers,

Cheers.
