I can think of 200 things to say to start a fight......

So let's not go there.

If you still believe in father chrismas and the 7 fairies, POWER TO YOU.

I myself......if I see a criminal, I'll know by using my COMMON SENSE!

On Suturday on my way back up HP just before Doreen Rd' date=' I saw something that didn't make sense. A guy dressed in normal clothes, no helmet and no cycling shoes past me from the opposite direction. The strange thing was that he was on a Trek Madone! Now if he was a regular cyclist using his machine to go to work or shopping, surely he would at least wear his helmet or shoes? Unfortunetly there was too much traffic to turn around to go after him but I often use that route and will look out for him.

So this means I am not allowed to send my gardener to the garage to buy petrol for the lawnmower with my TREK Madone? Surely I am not going to kit my gardener out with cycling clothes first, then send him?

My Gardener Refuses to ride the Trek Madone to the shops,he says he would rather walk!!That way he knows he still has a change of getting laid tonight!!Big%20smile

Well said Johan!!

You guys are both off the mark here. We spend a lot of time on our bikes and with other riders. We know when something doesn't look/feel/seem right. I am not suggesting that we go around accusing people falsely, but awareness is half the battle against crime.

If I can give you two examples:

We have a local community forum in our neighbourhood, wherin we communicate via e-mail various peices of info. One of these pieces of info is suspicious vehicles and or persons in the area. One such vehicle had it's registration number posted, and a few days later it tried to hi-jack my wife. Fortunately she had the fore-warning to evade this attempt.

Second, a few years back I was driving into Edenvale, and was waiting at the robot at the intesection of Park Meadow and Modderfontein road. I guy walked past the front of my car pushing a Flanders which I recognised as being similar to a bike ridden by a guy in my usual bunch. I contacted the police, and using that info, they managed to apprehend the guy and return the bike.

But carry on and stick your collective heads in the sand. You will be happy in the knowledge that ignorance truly is bliss.

Bob, Bob, Bob.... read my post again. My premise is that the "sighting" is BS and all the conclusions thus unecessary.
